Beautiful cabin because it is located on the shore of the wonderful Laguna de los Siete Colores in the middle of extravagant gardens with multiple, interesting stromatolites. It is a relaxing and calm place but it does not stop being fun. Perfect for traveling as a couple or with the whole family.
Heavenly place where you will be in contact with nature, on the shore of the BACALAR lagoon and a warmth of service that will make you feel at home

We booked this property for a one-week family vacation, and unfortunately our experience did not meet our expectations.The property is located almost 5 km from the main road on a very rough, unpaved road. An SUV is highly recommended to access the property comfortably. This difficult access was not clearly communicated before arrival. The home is also quite remote, approximately 40 minutes from Bacalar, with no nearby restaurants or grocery stores, making reliable amenities especially important.When we arrived, several essential features were not working, including the refrigerator, stove, and hot water. The maintenance person was helpful and repaired the stove and hot water, but the refrigerator remained an ongoing issue. It was temporarily fixed, but stopped working again the following day, making it very difficult to store food during our stay.The property looked more attractive in the photos than in reality. It is very basic and shows signs of wear. The kitchen is minimally equipped and lacks some basic conveniences expected in a vacation rental, including a coffee machine and hand soap. The microwave listed as an amenity was also not available.The highlight of this property is the beautiful lagoon view from the deck. This is truly a special feature and the only positive aspect of our stay.

This was apparently a scam

We never got a true confirmation or check in information for this property. When we called VRBO (very difficult from abroad) they said this was a false listing (my daughter had to do this in the states as it was too difficult form afar). We eventually was reimbursed but we had to scramble to find a new place late a night on our own.
