The property was very clean and quiet. It would have been nice to have more info in the room about local dining, as wells as events. It was difficult to find anything open on a Tuesday for breakfast. Staff was quick to respond to requests and the property was easy to access.

Great property for a Julian area visit. Across the street from a coffee& bakery place and a great restaurant with live music in the separate bar. A plus that management is responsive to all needs. Didn't know what to think about the auto check-in method they used, but turned out I liked it's simplicity.

Perfect Getaway with a Dog
I needed a nearby (I live in San Diego) getaway while some work was being done on my house. I also have a dog, so wanted someplace where I could exercise him and not feel like I was in an urban setting. The Apple Tree was a perfect spot for a two day get away. The room was a nice no-frills room with a comfy bed. The restaurant across the street (Heroes) and the breakfast place about a block away (Mom's) were both very dog friendly. Wynola is close enough to Julian (5 minutes by car) that on the second day I could just zip over and have lunch on the porch of Romano's (good Italian) and then in the evening, watch the night sky from vista point (Julian is a dark community). The hotel has a nice area in the back with rocks and paths for a small dog to wander around. Will definately return

The kids had a great time climbing the boulders all over the property and exploring. We explored more nature and saw more animals on property here than we did hiking at Cuyamaca. My wife loved it and said she'll never stay anywhere else in Julian. We went across the street for strawberry picking, hayrides and the best pie in California according to Yelp (and the best breakfast sandwich, it's not on the menu, it is turkey, egg & cheese on a buttermilk biscuit) and the best pecan glazed cinnamon roll according to our taste buds. We had more fun here than in Julian, Apple Tree Inn is where to stay.

I’m EMR. Work many hours. We’ve stayed here several times. Not a comfortable chair of any kind. I’m a side sleeper. My shoulders went to sleep after a couple of hours. I like the area and come here quite often. Please put In a comfortable chair . I can put up with the bed.

Our stay was fine. It was not great that it is difficult to reach anyone with questions. It is easy to text or call, but no response. The floors were dirty and sticky. Worse than a previous stay. The cleaning process had changed for the worse.

I loved the ease of checking in! The rooms are beer clean. Bed is very comfortable! Plenty of pillows. The only thing was we needed two more towels and there was no one to ask. Other than that I would def come back! ♥️
