We celebrated our daughter's wedding at this hotel and Front desk staff was so rude during check in. She needs training on customer service. I believe that every guest should be treated with respect no matter their race or ethnicity.

A blast ffrom the past and that is not good. Inconsistent and resting on their laurels of the past, this location looks like it is lost in time. We were up for a wedding and have not been here since my sister was married here over 30 years ago. We stayed at the hotel since we found a good rate but it is obvious most of the hotel business comes from wedding guests staying over. The rooms were clean but very dated and they tey to give the aura of modernizing while they are not. Lots of bumps and bruises as well as old timey (and not in a good way) touches. The shower was tiny and we are not small people. The rooms were a good size and the bed was comfortable but there were few room amenities. It was passable and served its purpose although we weren't enthralled with the room and mediocre would be the best description. Breakfast was included but the room was so crowded it was difficult to find anywhere to sit and people were literally bumping into each other to get the barely passable breakfast items. It was chaos. The parking lot is a pure disaster with many potholes and in poor condition. We had a rehearsal dinner at Rod's (their restaurant) and the food was s..l..o..w to come out and cold. The service was mediocre as was the food. Some said the food was good, others,no. My wife actually got sick from a vegetarian dish she ordered from the plated menu which was likely due to Listeria or unwashed veggies. Luckily it passed quickly. We stay often and always enjoy - Madison is a great, close town. Rod’s is fantastic for dining & is directly attached to the hotel.
