While this hotel is convenient for cruise passengers, that very fact creates a problem. The check in is at 3pm and check out is 11am. For an overnight stay that’s significantly less than a whole day. I was promised priority check in by the front desk clerk, but it did not happen. During my seven hour wait, I sat on their first floor deck but eventually had to leave because of construction noise and toxic fumes. While sitting in the cafe, I was told to leave because they were going to spray for bugs. We were sent to the lobby and got kicked out of there for the same reason. There was nothing to do in the neighborhood (I am disabled so walking even a few blocks is too much). We were left with one choice: sit out on the busy street. Customer service was not existent. I understand the check in and check out dilemma but you need to understand that flights to PPT get in very early in the morning, and guests may have been up all night. A customer-service centric hotel would add housekeeping staff to handle the surge. You could even add a charge for early check in. I only repeated the stay after the cruise because it was prepaid. And then, you charged me for a night I did not stay (2/10). There are only two bath towels and no hand towels in the bathroom. There is a tub but no shower. This is a one star hotel disguised as a modern three star. The next stay, after the cruise, was better only because we didn’t brave the restaurant. We didn’t want to get kicked out again. Do better.
