We have never left a hotel before but this place we found depressing. The pictures looked nothing like the room. The room was beat, worn furniture, rotten wood under the fridge, dirty. The view from our ocean front room was nothing like the photos. And worst of all the AC was nonexistent. They did try to make it right by showing us a nicer room with a beautiful view but the AC still didnt work and I can't compromise on that. We contacted hotels.com and got a refund and rebooked us at the Hilton which was much nicer.

The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Ari at the front desk was great, and helped us upgrade our room to the best available (at a higher price, which was fine). The BBQ night (Wednesdays) at the restaurant was awesome. I would highly recommend anyone staying on Tahiti to consider Te Moana. It has a good price to quality ratio. And the infinity pool is wonderful. You will not be disappointed.

This is such a lovely location that offers so much right on the premises. Room was also happily way more spacious than described. Great for a longer stay. Highly recommend the sunset cruise offered by the resort. It is a bit removed from everything, but made for a more authentic local experience. To fix that, recommend renting a scooter or a car right on sight even for a day or two

Our experience at Te Moana was unfortunately poor. This hotel is extremely dirty. The main entrance and the pool area was lovely and well kept. However, our hotel room was filthy. Walking on the floor resulted in a thick black film on the bottom of our feet. Our room smelt musty and like mildew. I would caution staying here if you are at all cautioned about cleanliness. I will not be staying here again.

We left and didn’t stay the night! I depend on honest reviews when booking and when I arrived at this hotel I felt deceived. The hotel is far from the heart of town which was okay because we just needed a place to stay before our 7am flight. But this hotel was shabby and dirty. It’s one thing for a property to be old or dated but this place is not maintained. We were in a standard room in the main building which was dank and had an awful odor. We asked to be moved and were told we qualified because of the Expedia upgrade. They didn’t have a room available so we waited about 90 mins for one to be cleaned. We waited in the lobby and were eaten alive by mosquitoes. I didn’t have a single bite my entire stay until I arrived at this hotel. The new room was just as shabby and despite being cleaned still felt dirty and there were more mosquitoes in the room. We didn’t even want to sit on the bed or unpack or touch anything. We went and had lunch at the pool bar which was decent enough but some fumbling happened there too charged incorrectly, given drinks with alcohol when ordered virgins, etc. The staff were not very friendly or helpful here. We left and booked a room at the Hilton instead which was a complete turn around and made our final day turn from nightmare to relaxing.

We stayed at the resort for 9days. I am currently 7.5month pregnant and the staff was very attentive and kind. We went on a snorkel trip with the dive shop that is attached to the resort. Our guide was amazing! Took extra precautions when maneuvering the boat. What an amazing vacation!

The grounds were beautiful - especially at night. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I rented a car at the hotel and it was much faster and easier than the airport. There a small but nicely equipped fitness center. Perfect location - right outside the congestion of Papeete. I would stay here again. The only negative - the rooms could use a paint ‘refresh’. I was very happy with this hotel choice.

This is a beautiful hotel. Mostly on days when the weather is good. There is not front canopy so when you arrive in the rain you are going to get wet coming inside and going to your room. They have an open air hallway to the rooms so you will get wet taking your luggage to the room. Other than that it is wonderful. Beautiful. And very nature oriented. The pools in the back are beautiful but was unsure if the bigger one was some kind of show pool considering the chairs all are oriented that way and it looks like something from SeaWorld. But other than that. The rooms were clean and the showers were hot.

Terrific resort with a broad range of things to do on the premises. Breakfast buffet is top-notch. Having the activity center provides great activity options. Big enough to have a full range of services, but small enough to be quite serene.
