I had a number of issues that made my stay an unhappy one. However, when asked if I’d enjoyed my stay, the manager was truly interested in hearing about my experiences. He made me feel heard and appreciated my feedback and that meant the world to me. The hotel is lovely. The staff is accommodating. The breakfast menu was full of good choices. The location is picturesque. Amarla could be perfect if there were an anytime ”before noon”breakfast. This is vacationing after all and I really wanted to sleep in.😌

Nice small hotel well situated in Old Panama City where it is quite a short walk everywhere. Angel was excellent to all our needs. Restaurant on site. Fourth Floor outdoor area is small and not a big deal - I would go back !

Very cute boutique hotel. However, please note that it is indeed a boutique hotel. It does not have the amenities of larger hotels. It only has a few rooms. Maybe 8??? Very quaint and beautiful property though. I would have given it 4 stars, but there were a couple issues. First, it wasn’t worth the price. I love boutique hotels, but this one cost more than most larger hotels that had more amenities, better views, etc. Also, there was construction going on at the property next door. It started early and was very loud. The worst part is that my bed sat against a rock wall. Due to the construction, rock fragments were falling on me all morning. I know that it’s their fault, but a heads up beforehand would have been nice. Next, some random man decided to open my door and wake me up at 6:45 in the morning after getting in very late the night before. Why is anyone coming into my room without knocking? That could be very scary for some guests, especially women traveling alone. Last, amenities. I don’t expect great amenities from a boutique hotel. But there was no tv in the rooms. Also, they advertised a rooftop hot tub. But the hot tub was out of order and even the rooftop was blocked off so that you couldn’t use it. Again, a heads up would be nice.

This is a great boutique hotel. It has charm, great service, an excellent resturant. It has a rooftop garden that has a small view of the city and some church steeples. The rooftop garden also has a jacuzzis. The water is not hot but cool and refreshing. Night time is peaceful and quiet. Go reserve this hotel in Casco Viejo
