Desert Oasis
The property was well appointed, beds were comfortable and linens were top of the line. The unit itself would benefit from some minor upgrades...we had to put a board under the BBQ to use it; the light switches didn't seem to turn on the lights; a chair in the primary bedroom was broken and the interior looked like they were getting ready to paint. In terms of the property, it was a nice development and the patio was relaxing. Not being a club member is a bit of a bummer and the club employees seemed a bit snooty. My husband went to eat at the club and the service was slow for non-members. The host does indicate that to enjoy golf and tennis priviledges you need to be affliated with the country club so I was warned. We had our teenage sons with us and I think I would probably not go to Palm Springs for spring break in the future just because the community definitely caters to the retired crowd. The furniture and beds were very comfortable the accommodations were good. I probably won't go back but if I did it would be for a solo trip or with girlfriends. The owner was responsive to requests once on the property, there was a bit of confusion prior to checking in but it was easily resolved. The price was right and the unit was comfortable.
