Lovely old skool hotel based right on the seafront. Great location to walk into Hythe. Breakfast buffet was great with lots of choice. Don’t go here just for the spa as it’s a family hotel, so understandably there were a lot of children in the pool, therefore quite loud. Was great to have the facilities available and we used them, but not a traditional relaxing spa experience. Our room with a view was gorgeous and we had a lovely time overall.
We liked the friendlyness of the staff. We did have a problem with the shower as my husband has had a stroke and finds some thing difficult and as there was no grab rails in the shower he found that very unnerving. The bed was also a bit high for him to get into.
Second time staying at hythe imperial, both stays have been wonderful. Great atmosphere lovely food beautiful scenery just across from the beach friendly staff brilliant overall definitely will be coming back again.
Very well-maintained older-era hotel in very quiet seafront location away from noisy attractions. Only stayed in one of smaller rooms, but it was very comfortable, nicely furnished and very well presented/cleaned. Slept superbly well! Excellent pool in-house and 9h golf course next door.
Terrible service, the staff basically ignore you. Hotel room lacked basic amenities like wash cloths and flat sheets. TV was much too small for the room. Would not stay here again.
Hyth Imperial is our go to when ever we want a quite, relaxing getaway. Inhouse facilities like swimming pool and spa is perfect. This was our 4th visit.
We have visited The Imperial many, many times over the years and have always thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are vey helpful and the rooms are spotlessly clean!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Stayed for 3 nights in this hotel.
It was a nice hotel but the rooms and general hotel spaces were extremely hot.
There was a towel rack which is heated in the bathroom which stays on continuously without any choice of turning this off.
We had very warm weather and had to endure that heating, it was comparable to a sauna. We closed the bathroom door but the bedroom was still like an oven, we used air conditioning continuously during the whole stay.
If it was like this for a few days of 25degrees plus in April, I can’t imagine what summer would be like!
The bar had extortionate prices. I can appreciate the location causes you to charge more but £12 for two glasses of coke is OUTRAGEOUS.
Overall- we had a nice break, but I would not return.
Rooms/building far too hot.
Bar, food and stay rates far too expensive.
Not sure this place lives up to its rating.
Staff lovely and very well organised.
Welcoming, food was great, seaview room was so amazing.
We had a pleasant relaxing time.
We had such a lovely time found plenty to explore.

Disliked: Cleanliness
The initial room we were allocated stank of smoke. We bought this to their attention immediately and were escorted back to the room by the reception manager who agreed it smelt of something but not smoke! She said they were very strict on no smoking rules and guests would be fined £250. We were then allocated another room which was tiny in comparison and very dated but didn’t feel there was an alternative option as hotel was busy. Pillows were completely flat and duvet very thin, had to call reception to bring 2 more pillows. Communal areas of hotel felt tired and dated. Overall it served a purpose but wouldn’t choose to return
The outside of the hotel was gorgeous, I even got confused if we were in the right place 😂.
But the inside was wonderful, reminded me of the Titanic.
The hotel has an indoor pool, spa, sauna, jacuzzi and a gym.
The double room we got was spacious and we loved the toilet.
And the staff was really helpful.
