What a lovely resort at the top of Horseshoe Valley mountain! Carriage Ridge Resort is quiet, safe, the rooms are clean and plentiful for a couple nights stay. If you're a skier/snowboarder, the bonus is being able to walk onto the mountain and ski into the resort instead of driving to horseshoe. Foodland is 10 minutes away if you need food as well. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here for another ski/golf getaway!

The stay has been lovely. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom and towels clean and plentiful. Hot water supply was limited which was disappointing after a long ski and the desire for a hot long bath.

We liked the property overall - close to things and overall in good condition. Only things we didnt like was list of instructions when leaving - never stayed in any other hotel or resort where we were told to strip bed ...wash dishes and take out garbage.

We ended up here after our original accommodation near by wasn't ready. The staff was AMAZING! So much so that we ended up staying for the entire run of our trip instead of returning to our original booking. Location is great, facility has lots to do and is very accommodating.

I wouldn't call it a hotel. There was no housekeeping the steps were slushy and icy, no ice, no vending machines, no workers around after 10, nothing in the area to get drinks or any kind of food. But with that being said its good for people from the city for an outdoor getaway but definitely not for me. Would have been different if every room had a fridge and somewhere to cook. We made the best of it but wont be back. I would just stay in Barrie which is only 15 minutes away.

Awful Night

We stayed in a two bedroom suite which wasn't two full bedrooms, just two sleeping areas. The room was clean but that's the extent of the positives. The beds were rock hard, we might as well have been sleeping on the floor. To make matters worse the room had something beeping in it that would beep every 5-10 seconds. That kept us up all night. Very annoying. Would never go back.

Great accommodations and really well priced next to horseshoe valley. No restaurant but lots of options to cook in-house with full stove, fridge, toaster etc. Great value for a ski stay over.

Found hair on toilet and in sink. Couch was extremely uncomfortable and stairs leading up to unit were not shoveled which made carrying luggage really unsafe as it was slippery

Loved the suite room with living room and kitchen and especially the jacuzzi bath tub. Not a lot of fine dining options if any in the area, but the kitchen and facilities were good for cooking in your own apartment. Wished there were some decent non pub-food restaurant options near the Carriage Ridge Resort in Oro-Medonte.We did enjoy the restaurant at the Spa nearby. Thanks for the clean well maintained suite room. We didn’t use the pool or exercise room. Can’t handle too much heavy chlorine swimming water. Prefer salted pools or a milder salt & chlorine combination like the Vetta Spa that we visited & enjoyed down the road. Cheers/Hyvasti!
