We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, it was larger than expected, and seemed well maintained (potentially because of a refurbishment that was taking place).
Had a little trouble sleeping because the curtain allows a lot of light in at the top, especially in the morning. I managed to Macgyver a solution with the room's extra blanket. Also, while the walls are not thin, you can hear outside (we heard some people knocking on next room's door at 3am).
Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I will definitely consider staying again when I am next in Orange.

Turners is a nice hotel with great views, I have stayed there on a number of occasions! My disappointment stems from my most recent two stays over the this past winter. On both occasions, I have arrived later into the evening and the rooms were ice cold, the rooms were still not to my comfort after 2 hours with the heat on.

This was our second stay at this motel. We liked the large comfortable room with queen bed. On previous visit, could not get Wi-Fi to work and did not try this time. One heat lamp in bathroom was blown/not working and air-conditioner did not seem to heat room to set temperature. Bed was comfortable with plenty of bedding. The fact that I had paid through Wotif was not recorded in booking info and had to be sorted at checkout time. In-room facilities were good. Good lighting with nice bright room light and down-lights for specific areas. There is an on-site restaurant but we were dining elsewhere with family so can't comment.
Although dated (built in the 1960s) and in need of an upgrade, I would certainly recommend for a short stay. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, easy to warm, even though the temp was -5 deg outside and a great shower with plenty of hot water. Conveniently located on the Mitchell Highway but with no road noise.

Lovely surroundings. I was a backpacker staying for a night. The room I had was the simplest, well appointed, but no chair; ensuite excellent. The building was majestic - quite something. The unappealing feature was the dilapidated fly screen on the screen door to the balcony.
