"Really close to the main street and good restraunt"
The hotel was well positioned to the centre of town. The hotel room was basic and clean. Staff were a tad surly and the cleaner decided when we needed clean towels!! Irritating..The food in the hotel restraunt was adequate and the wine list OK. Service in the dinning room was attentive and excellent..
Lovely old place to stay, beautiful golf course. Close to everything. Get a room that opens onto the verandah. Bed very soft and comfortable. Nice breakfast in lovely sunny dining room. Very friendly staff. Only complaint was regarding the "free wifi". Was on it for approx 20 minutes before dinner and then was locked out later when I tried again!!!!!
We booked for 3 people for 3 nights during Food Week. As accommodation books fairly quickly, this was one of the few affordable options left. As it turned out, we needn't have been worried, as it was fairly clean and all amenities worked well. Only complaints would be the squeeze in the room, as 14sqm is quite small for 3 adults! Overall, it was a dated yet functional place to stay, very close to the middle of town. If you stay here, look for the randomly placed taps in the bathroom!
We stayed two nights in a ground floor room. Although the room is average in size, the furnishings are modern and the room is clean and comfortable, especially the bed. Despite being on the ground floor with people sometimes walking past, the window has a blockout blind which lets in light yet gives privacy, and the curtain can be pulled across to make the room dark at night. There is efficient air conditioning, a bar fridge and tea/coffee facilities. Plenty of storage in the wardrobe, a good iron and ironing board, and the free internet was a bonus. Drinks and snacks including bottles of wine can be purchased from reception. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is one block from the main road, so it's quiet at night and only a short walk to everything.
