I recently stayed at the Hyatt in Bricktown, Oklahoma City, to celebrate my birthday on April 20th. Overall, the hotel was clean, but I was disappointed to find some trash piled up near the elevators, likely left by guests. Unfortunately, our experience with the bartender was quite negative. My husband ordered me a drink and asked if she had a drink menu. She responded rudely, saying, "Well, it's obvious there's no menu with all the drinks out." While he was trying to decide on a drink, she asked if we were with the two men sitting in the lobby. Confused, my husband replied yes, and she abruptly claimed, "You can’t have outside alcohol." We were perplexed because we didn’t have any drinks in our hands. I questioned her about what she meant, and she pointed to the two Black men, insisting that we couldn't have outside alcohol. My husband clarified that he didn’t know them, but she continued to argue, saying he shouldn’t have said that. Her demeanor was unprofessional, and it felt as though she was implying we were together solely based on our ethnic backgrounds. Additionally, she didn’t provide my husband with a receipt for a half cup of Hennessy and Coke, which was mostly ice. The lack of clear communication from the hotel staff regarding parking was also frustrating. As out-of-towners, we inquired about parking and were informed it would cost $32 for overnight parking in the designated area. We were told we could park on the street for free, but no one could direct us.

Great hospital but a little ragged around the edge

The hotel itself is nice, and the staff there was friendly and professional. It's showing some sign of wearing down a bit. Some of the buttons in the elevators don't light up when you press them. There's a panel there that's nothing but packing tape. The bed was the lumpiest I've (tried to) slept in.

The only thing I would recommend is the bar staying open a little later when there is alot going on in Bricktown.
