We had a great time in Oceanside—the location of this unit is truly amazing and within walking distance to everything, which made exploring with kids very easy.However, several issues made our stay less comfortable. The stairs leading to the unit are extremely narrow, making it difficult to carry items up and down. We brought bikes (which I highly recommend for this area since it’s very walkable and bike-friendly), but there is no garage or storage, so we had to carry them up and down the stairs each time—very inconvenient.One of the beds had a duvet with a large yellow stain. I contacted the host, and to their credit, they brought a clean replacement the next morning.The shower in one of the bathrooms was leaking. I reported it right away, but it was never fixed during our stay. Thankfully, there was a second bathroom with a bathtub, which we ended up using the entire time.We also used the shared laundry, but when we returned to pick up our items (towels, bathing suits, and shorts), they were gone, which was very frustrating.Additionally, there is active construction next door, so be prepared for significant noise throughout the day.Overall, while we absolutely loved Oceanside and would definitely come back to the area, we would not choose to stay in this particular unit again.
