This property is beautiful and the sunsets & waves are amazing. The experience & location is what you pay for. The stay is clouded with bad customer service & excessive fees - $47 resort fee, $47 parking and not enough workers so you are always waiting for service. Check in time is 4pm and sunset is around 4:50 so if there is any delay, room not cleaned, wrong class of room, long queue to check in, anything…you will miss the sunset —whole reason to stay. This happened to us and it was a shame. Check out is 11am (latest is noon) so the time difference is a big gap compared to other hotels. If you are lucky with nice service, it’s pricy but you understand the draw. If you have horrible service, the cost is too much for the lousy experience.

I love here in Oceanside so it breaks my heart to give a bad review. Sadly the service at the hotel is lacking. The check in line was lengthy, the bar tenders seemed bothered, the wait times were long, we were forgotten multiple times at both restaurants. I’ll be back again because the ambiance is amazing. But the service needs to be stepped up.

It was my first time booking in cali and it couldn’t have been more of an efficient stay. Bars, restaurants all within walking distance. The beach was across the street, the cafe was convenient for breakfast. There was also access to the sister resort to use the spa and bar. There was a street fair going on with food vendors Thursday night. The train is right next to the resort if you want to travel without the car, San Diego is about an hour train away. House keeping was very efficient replacing towels and making the bed. The rooftop bar was also a nice touch to watch the sunset. One of the most efficient stays and located hotel I’ve stayed at. Would stay again

Beautiful views from the hotel to the Oceanside pier, we went to the rooftop bar but the snacks and small bites were very limited and not very good, I think a wider variety of food options would be great
