The Ocean 1 is a no frills, older hotel in a great location. It's right on the beach and gives you a great view of the sunrise. The heater didn't work (it was still chilly out) but the staff quicky got us a space heater that worked fine. The toilet seat cover was broken and the toilet roll holder was also, but wasn't a big deal. For the price and location, it worked for us. It was clean and the room was nice. I would stay there again.

NO internet which caused a lot of issue since I needed to work while on vacation. Beds were on the harder side and needed more pillow. The second day I think her name was Beth was helpful and changed our feeling about even staying at this hotel, Had to park 4 blocks away and I was handicap which made it very difficult.

Upon arriving, the room smelled badly like cigarette smoke but it went away after a day or two. The room could have been a little cleaner but that's most hotels, especially here. The staff were all absolutely wonderful, including the house keeping ladies! Our room had a Jacuzzi in it, but it's so loud that we literally just didn't use it, its uncomfortably loud. Balcony looked like it would be private also based on the picture they have posted with our room, but it was fully open and shared, lots of weed smells lol & for some reason, every single night between 10pm-2am there was something big being slid around in the employee only room next to ours, we were on the 5th floor and the one side is just employees only areas, but it was quite annoying.
