Dundonald Landing Palm 2 has been thoughtfully designed by the owner to offer luxury and comfort with flashes of brilliance! Stable doors lead to the rear of the lodge and the private Hot-tub. Fitted out to provide more than the comforts of home, there’s a spacious open plan living space complete with gas-fired wood-burning effect stove, a cosy rotating snuggle sofa, LED mood lighting, a glitzy bar area for after dinner cocktails, large Smart TV and to top it all, glazed doors which open up the whole front of the lodge onto a decked area with outside furniture and barbecue.

Guests are welcome to use the private jetty and slipway opening onto Loch Etive, where small trailable boats can be launched. Its ideal to fish from and keep a kayak or small boat close by to enjoy the best waterside location. The narrow single-track access road leads along the north shore of Loch Etive and is ideal for cycling and walking along the shoreline. There are beautiful gardens to visit along this road at Ardchattan Priory. The lodge is a leisurely and scenic hour’s walk to the villages of Benderloch, Connel and North Connel where you will find licensed general stores, cafes, and pubs to rest and relax in. You are also within easy reach of the Oban to Fort William cycle path - a wonderful scenic route almost entirely traffic-free using parts of the old railway line, forest paths and along the roadside - a fantastic opportunity for safe cycling.

The village of Benderloch is easily accessible across the “Moss Road”, forming part of the Lynn of Lorn National Scenic Area and is home of the lovely sandy Tralee beach with cafes & shops and Ben Lora woodland walks. Seven miles away, Oban, a bustling west coast harbour town, has lots going on for the visitor at any time of the year. Central for touring Argyll and known as the “Gateway to the Isles. Ideally situated for visiting many Argyll attractions within 1 hour’s drive. Recommended are trips to Fort William to see Ben Nevis or Inveraray, with its castle and jail, perhaps enjoy the scenery of Glencoe, or take a ferry from Oban to the Inner Hebrides.

Fantasic stay
We had a great time at Palms 2 and the accommodation was fantastic. I was there with my partner and daughter for four nights and we ate outside, enjoyed the hot tub and used the private pier for our kayak and paddleboard on Loch Etive. Oban is only 15 minutes drive away through beautiful scenery. Would recommed staying here.
