Standard room is lower in price but subpar. It is located at the top floor through multiple stairs. Room is plain and closer to a 2-3 star hotel. Noise level can be high given bars across the street (very loud on weekends). Continental breakfast is very basic, service is great but the few employees that seem to work overtime. For $200 the location, and bed, clean bathroom is ok. More expensive rooms at the $350 mark merit a better look at other hotels like the Quinta Real. Disappointing.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are unique and there are great linens. Don’t miss the view from the rooftop! This hotel is just steps away from everything that Oaxaca has to offer.

Very bad experience, room was smelly and no exhaust in the washroom. There was a minor conflict with the attendant and I requested for the manager/supervisor, the attendant straight away denied it with the utmost rudeness.

The stay was not great. The bathroom was smelly and there was no exhaust. They served continental breakfast without eggs and when asked for eggs they charged very high prices. Beautiful little boutique hotel very comfortable and located in a perfect location. Close to the historic downtown and yet a couple of blocks away from all the noise. The rooms are very comfortable as well. Farid and Jose were very helpful. Loved it!

Amazing stay, location, comfort, and staff

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast, clean, comfortable rooms! We loved our stay and would stay again. They gave great recommendations and the area felt very safe. Was worried about the noise based on previous reviews and our room window being right off the street but with the mini split fan running and white noise on my phone we slept great and no problems with noise.

Oaxaca Vacation

We had a great stay at Palacio Borghese. The location is within walking distance to everything you need including food, drinks, shops, and the markets. All of the staff was welcoming and helpful. The included breakfast was fresh bread and fruit that was delicious. The hotel had a rooftop with incredible views of the city and Temple.
