Very central to all, and room was beautifully appointed, and quite spacious The air conditioning worked well, bed was just right to our liking, not too soft, not too hard. You have amenities in the bathroom, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, soap that all smell heavenly “verbena”, as well as you are provided robes, a coffee station and bottled water. The hotel had bikes (4) and one motorized scooter for guests, did not use since we had a car. The “parking” is arranged with a 3rd party, and is around the block. However we did not use. Fortunately we were able to leave our car right in front of the front door (only one spot for loading and unloading) since we had a 5:00am departure. We would definitely return to this hotel, with one caveat, a room in the back that would be quieter.

I didn't eat breakfast, but I had dinner and the food was incredible! Super delicious with the traditional Mexican flavors that I was expecting and longing for! The hotel is beautiful, cozy and small enough to provide a feeling of being in your family's home visiting. The staff is extremely friendly, kind and always attentive! I really enjoyed this hotel and plan and going back as soon as I can. Thank you to all the wonderful attention that my daughter and I received from the staff at Casa Sierra Azul!

The hotel grounds are beautiful, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and kind. The hotel is located in a great walkable area and when we went out for the day, our room was meticulously cleaned and straightened up. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again when I come back to Oaxaca.

Charming Hotel

The service was exceptional throughout our stay. Upon arrival, the hotel clerk greeted us warmly and, as a valued member of Hotels.com, we were fortunate to receive an upgrade to a charming room on the second floor. The room’s ambiance was captivating, featuring a picturesque courtyard adorned with cacti and a breathtaking mountain view. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice. Additionally, we were blessed with a private deck. The hotel’s dining room offered a delightful array of cuisines throughout the day. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, ensuring that our every need was met. The hotel’s location was ideal, seamlessly integrating the city’s attractions and amenities.

We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there. Their menu is excellent and the food is delicious. Their mole is superb. Eating at the courtyard next to the water fountain was relaxing, comfortable and amazing. Shops, banks, farmacies, convenient store, cafes, the town square, churches, etc, are all within walking distance. This hotel is in an excellent location. We did not drive however this hotel does provide guest parking. The staff is above excellent! Ricardo and Juan Carlos are true professionals who immediately made us feel like home. Both explained in detail the process of making their mole and other menu items. They provided direction as to where to go and how to get to the places we wanted to visit and they did it always with a big smile. My family and I visited for the first time and plan on going back again. The entire staff was excellent and friendly. The hotel itself is something out of a beautiful dream.

The Hotel is conveniently located downtown, and the ambiance is comforting and friendly. It's a small hotel and the service is outstanding. Friendly & professional.
