We appreciated the friendly, hospitable staff, but the hotel is in need of some TLC. Stained carpets and walls in the room, unused partial fixtures left on the walls, bathroom/shower in need of updating (water backed up as showered; no stopper in sink which allows jewelry to easily go down the drain accidentally; toilet sits VERY low to the floor), and there was a smell of air freshener near the beds that seemed like it was used to cover up odor. It wasn't entirely pleasant to have that odor constantly in the background. I understand the cost involved in keeping up a property, but we won't stay here again unless it changes.

The first room the refrigerator wasn’t working. Switch to different room n tv was disconnected. Took 30 min to reboot. Maintance man was great. Very patient fixing tv. Also lamp was broken. Light bulb was hanging out of the socket.

The property was ran down and very dirty. The staff was nice when I checked in but didn’t take action when notified of anything. They were very rude to my parents. The rooms were dirty and things were broken. The carpets were stained. A lot of things were broken all over the hotel. We had 11 different rooms over the weekend and every one had issues and no action was taken. They double charged my sister and mother.

Drove up and saw a woman smoking weed and blowing out the window within her room. Strong dog smells in the hallway, very dimly lit hallway. Room In disrepair, smell in room I’d image was from long term bird poop outside of window AC unit on the balcony window. Won’t be coming back to La Quinta.

The room was dirty and in disrepair. The sheets were washed but had permanent stains. Every inch of the carpet was stained and ragged. La Quinta has gone down hill ever since Wyndham took over. Must be corporate policy to run property into the ground!

We stayed at this hotel on June 19, 2025, and both my husband and I developed multiple red, itchy bites shortly after. The pattern of the bites strongly suggests bed bugs. This is unacceptable. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the issue properly. Travelers, be cautious. Check the bedding carefully or avoid this hotel until the issue is confirmed resolved.

I wouldn’t stay here again just because of how filthy our room was. There was literally blood flicked on the wall, drywall breaking apart on the floor, curtains were visibly soiled and torn, the doors including the slider looked like they had never been wiped clean. The carpet had so many disgusting stains on it we didn’t want to walk without shoes. The shower was like a cave and dirty. But what was worse was the water temperature. It changed randomly from just right to scalding and my 8 y/o almost fell out of the shower trying not to get burned. The customer service was fine enough; the clerk when checking out was more concerned about being on his cell phone. At 7AM on a Sunday morning, what appeared to be maintenance men were so ridiculously loud knocking on someone’s door and talking in the hallway that it woke up my daughter. The breakfast was fine enough, typical continental. We liked that Cattleman’s was next door for dinner and the location is good. I usually stay at the Red Lion, and will continue to do so after this experience.

I stay at La Quinta Hotels quite often because they usually offer a clean room and decent service for a good price. I did not get that at this Redding location. There were holes (large ones) in a towel, mold in the shower and a roach wandering around in the bathroom. The lock on the rear entrance to the building didn't work so they kept that security door unlocked all day. When I mentioned all this to the person behind the counter all she did was give me a mock look of concern and just dismissed it all. No apology or anything. I know there are better La Qiuntas out there but this one in Redding California is not one of them.
