Fishing Resorts & Hotels in Nelson

You can’t judge this hotel by the entrance, which was quite small, cold, and leading to 2 restaurants and a nightclub that closes by 9 or 10. The room was wonderfully quiet and well equipped. The cool looking brick walls probably contribute to the quiet. Loved the towel warming rack and the large rain shower head. The bed was comfy and wood floors instead of carpet, which was great. All around positive and we would stay here again! Splash marks on wall should be wiped clean.

Five stars for the hotel, zero stars for the body wash’s aim! We had a fantastic stay at the Hume! Check in was a breeze, housekeeping spoiled us every day with a wonderfully fresh room, we had a few great meals in two of the restaurants and location, location, location! We couldn’t be happier that we chose to stay here and could park the car for the entire trip annd explore what downtown Nelson had to offer! All in all, we really have no complaints… except for the body wash, which apparently had a secret side hustle as a personal fire alarm for the lady bits. One shower later and my hoohaw was tingling like it had just licked a 9 volt battery. I’m not sure what exotic botanical ingredients were in that bottle, but I’m fairly certain my nether regions were not on the guest amenities committee. I’ve used plenty of body washes in my time, but this one went above and beyond its job description. Clean? Absolutely. Refreshed? Debatable. Wide awake in places I didn’t know could wake up? MOST DEFINITELY. If that wasn’t enough, a touch on the nose and I felt like Rudolph lit up in two places! Management, perhaps a little warning on the bottle? Something along the lines of: “For external use only. Sensitive areas may require extinguishing of unexpected flames.” 🔥 All jokes aside, we loved the hotel and had a great stay. Five stars overall — although next time, I’ll be packing my own body wash and leaving the hotel’s spicy little secret on the shelf!

Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
