Keep in mind while booking through expedia they do not tell you that you need a credit card when you arrive. That was a challenge as i do not have one so i had to get my friend to help with that, as i was with my two kids and we would have been without a place to stay had my friend not helped. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner and there was hair in the tub. There was also some soap scum that had not been cleaned off properly but the rest of the room was exceptionally clean. The train is quite loud in the morning but they provided ear plugs so that was a nice offer. Overall our stay was pretty decent and the beds were very comfortable.

Room was a little outdated. Other than that, it was a good hotel. Location was convenient; view was fantastic. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again.

Staff here were amazing. So friendly, kind and helpful. The only thing is the light off the balcony didn’t turn off at night. The curtains didn’t fully cover the sliding door so that was a challenge to sleep! Otherwise, beautiful location with great lake views.

Luckily we did not have any trains go by during the night. It was loud when it went through. Be aware there are 2 Preatige Inns in Nelson. We thought we were booking the other one. This one is right on a railway crossing.

Overall good value in the Nelson area. Nice clean room with balcony and view of the water. Trains pass behind the hotel 2-3 times a day, not a big intrusion. Room coffee was TERRIBLE! Need Keurig! Happy otherwise Paul Hindson
