The Mara, despite its protections, remains an area of complex lion/human interaction due to the close proximity of numerous pastoral Maasai communities. These herders have often resorted to illegal night-grazing within the reserve’s lands, especially during times of drought and lion attacks on livestock have led to past retaliations on the Mara’s predator population #Adventure #adventurephotocontest

I paid $200 to a Jeep driver to take me from the gate to Fig Tree Camp. It was already 7 pm when I arrived at the gate and the park authorities charged ...

Mara Serena Safari Lodge: Luxury lodge with free WiFi and free parking. Located in a national park.
Kids enjoyed the pool. The view is amazing. The weather was nice and cool daily. No AC in rooms, but fans worked very well. We were so tired from safaris that the kids didn't miss we didn't have a TV. Food was delicious, my picky eater ate something every day.
