At first, they were very welcoming when we checked in, but on the third day we were pressured into attending their hotel presentation. When we said we didn’t want to join their hotel membership program (which requires a fee), the staff’s attitude changed instantly. When we tried to leave, they even stopped us and said, “You don’t want the gift anymore?”
Later, we ran into the staff who had tried to bring us to the presentation. After realizing we didn’t sign up for their membership, I greeted him, but he just stared at me with wide eyes and didn’t respond at all.
On the second-to-last day of our trip, we ran out of laundry detergent and went to the front desk to ask for more. They told us it was only available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Yes, it was after hours, but I felt they were being too rigid. We were leaving the next morning, so we wanted to finish our laundry and even explained the situation to them, but all they said was “sorry.”
Then at check-out the next day, they didn’t even say goodbye. They didn’t look up and just gave us a half-hearted “thank you.” The hotel facilities are great, but I think the staff definitely need more training.
