We stayed for 6 days but had a cyclone for 2 days so services were somewhat disrupted. There was limited information from the staff about what we should do during this cyclone other than stay in your room. The bure we stayed in was lovely and the food was great, but perhaps Fiji time is not for us. Everyone was just in their own world. We couldn't get straight answers about services or prices, and at dinner asking for water took several requests and sometimes you got it and sometimes you didn't. We travelled specifically to surf and again couldn't accurate advice. The time Musket did organise a boat to take us to the reef with one of their contractors, the captain had no idea which reef was best that day and the price charged was different than we were told prior. When I pointed this out, the woman at Musket Cove water sports, was rude and told us she would have to pay the difference if we didn't agree to the higher payment. Subsequently we walked down to Plantation Island water sports and got a straight answer about prices, times and which reefs were best for the day. Any surfers at Musket, I would recommend organising with Plantation as they know what they are talking about and will pick you up in a boat at Musket. Overall I think if you want to go to an island and drink and lay by the pool with a book, this is a good option. However if you would like to be active - use a gym, play tennis or surf etc on your vacation, then it's probably not the right place.

The room was clean, the staff was very nice and offered a "Bula" at every turn. The pool seemed a little run down and could use some repairs. There are few places to snorkel by just walking out to certain areas. We actually saw a moray eel. The hobo cat is free to use, but if you would like some instruction for a bit, it will cost. "All inclusive" can mean different things. Here it means the meals are free, but drinks of any kind do cost.

A fantastic business model, but a terrible hotel. For AU$900 a night I would save your hard earned cash and go elsewhere. We are genuinely shocked that a hotel of this calibre can charge this much - having visited, it should be worth about half that price in our estimation. Inedible food that gets recycled from lunch to dinner. Half the facilities are out of use. The staff are disinterested, sometimes to the point of sarcastic. Who can blame them, they are captaining a sinking ship. The owners are clearly sucking out the last from their cash cow before it runs dry.

We arrived on the last boat so it was dark and I couldn't fully grasp the resort and its layout. Thankfully the light of day made it so much better. The pool is large and warm and never over crowded. Its more of a grownup resort as the one next door caters to families. The air con in the rooms does its job but make sure you keep your wooden blinds closed! There aren't any glass on windows just screens and wooden slats. Garden bure was spacious and cleaned daily. We loved the free daily boat trip to snorkel at the nearby sandbar. It made my holiday! Gorgeous in every way! Very happy with our decision to try Musket Cove. We stayed 4 days and it was perfect. Found a few walks to do around island to stay active when all the lounging and eating got too much.

This was such a cool place. It was spread out enough to feel big, but very easy to walk from your bure to the different dining areas and pool. We were skeptical the bure would stay cold with the air conditioning running but the windows were screens with wooden blinds, but they did! The garden bure had everything we needed for our stay. Our favorite part was the complimentary daily snorkel trip. I planned my day around it. We don't need to book any other activities beyond this perfect daily excursion. The food was great and more than enough. Staff are very friendly.
