I made a mistake of not knowing St. John building was not directly on the beach with the actual hotel but across the street to the left. Check-in was not very quick and staff seemed overwhelmed.
Also side note. Parking for the actual Carvelle Resort is across the street in same area as Check-in office. However, it is an additional $12 per day. In addition to $39.00 fee if you chose to opt out a $250.00 damaged depost that is due immediately.
Once we were pointed in the direction of our hotel after what seemed to be a 39 minute wait we checked out the room to only find that the floor was bubbled and squeal everytime we walked ontop of it. Dirty rags that were most likely left by the cleaning crew on top of the microwave. Dirty dusty plastic flower arrangement and a bathtub that did not drain when showering was so gross, definitively icing on the cake and and no phone in the room to reach the front desk.
I would say on a positive note St. John "motel" has its own pool which was not overly crowded like the pool across the street at the real Carvelle Resort and was quite for the most part.
Would I stay at a Carvelle resort again... that would be a big NO.
