We had a great all-around first day at the Resorts World hotel in the catskills. We received great service in the casino as well as at the steak house.

Great room-disappointing policy

I stayed at this hotel for just one night, checking in shortly before midnight. The room was impressively spacious and very clean, which I appreciated after a long day of travel. However, upon checking out they would not give more than 30 minutes for late checkout, although the hotel seemed pretty empty. Even more frustrating was that I wasn’t allowed to use the hotel grounds — including the pool and gym —after checking out. In most hotels, it’s standard courtesy to allow guests access to these amenities after checkout, especially for such a short stay. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here, and took away from what could have been a much more enjoyable experience.

This was my second time staying at this hotel, and this time it wasn't so great. The room was spacious but not particularly useful, and it wasn't very clean. Still, I'm planning a family trip this fall, and I hope it'll be a great time.
