At check in, I asked the receptionist if I could have a high floor. She told us that all of the high floor rooms available were on the “train side” of the property, and that the train comes through every morning and is loud and shakes the building. That didn’t sound like a good idea, so we opted for a second floor room on the “non train side” of the property. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think she did this as a sick joke. First, the TV in the room timed out, and shut off while I was watching the game. When we got it back on, the remote would work sporadically. Couldn’t change channels and had to get up to just manually turn off the tv. Our “view” was basically a brick wall that was about 5 feet away from our window. The A/C unit in the room did not give us an option to run the fan (heat only), and it was so stuffy that we both woke up at 5am because it was uncomfortable. We had already planned to check out at 7am, so asking to switch to another room would’ve been more hassle than it was worth. I’ll NEVER stay here again. If the only options are a loud train or a stuffy room with no view of the outside world, I’d rather sleep in my car.
