The staff was very kind and helpful. The bed was commendable. But the hotel itself was pretty bad. The location was very sketchy, the entire hotel smelled terrible - a mix between old cigarettes and rotten trash. The room wasn’t vacuumed when we checked in and the toilet wouldn’t flush on multiple occasions. Not worth even the cheap price tag

Initial room was not cleaned. Switched room. New room was clean but mold and mildew in air was horrible. Carpet seriously need cleaned. The smell of stale marijuana smoke was in the hallway. Also smell of marijuana smoke in hall coming another room was horrible.

There was an obvious odor throughout the hotel, from the entry door through all the hallways and even in our room. The sheets and blankets had a very strong perfumy smell that made sleeping very difficult. We did appreciate the free shuttle service to the airport. Probably would not stay there again though.

An inadequately staffed & dated motel with non-residing persons & paying guests loitering at the front door area that is in desperate need of attention to electrical/plumbing maintenance & of more careful cleaning is not appealing nor does it represent the image La Quinta seeks to convey. Don’t stay here.

Moved rooms and still the place reeked of weed. Woke up at 3AM choking on the smell of weed coming from the next room. This was after I moved from another room due to the fumes coming through for the other room. Walked out of the elevator to a man holding a blunt. Not an ideal location for those with younger children.

Laquinta memphis airport

We were there for 1 night. Friendly staff. Beds were decent not bad. It was outdated. Location was sketchy. The smell in the room upon e tering was off. It was noisy. But I saw a roach in our room. Thats where my opinion went downhill.

The warmth of the nighttime check-in staff and of the one overseeing the breakfast offering is offset by the poor maintenance of the room (lights were missing & many of the inadequate # of electric outlets do not hold the cords plugged in to them) and the elevator system and the sad quality of the powdered eggs for breakfast. We also had prank knocks on our room door late, late at night & the night staff never answered our 3 phone calls to the front desk to ask for help. Finally, the surrounding industrial area bordering the parking lot is not the motel's fault, but the additional noise and unsightliness does not make the motel appealing.
