12/25: zero stars.. and this is my favorite hotel for years..absolutely disgusting the smell in the lobby covered by air freshner. I am worried for the workers. The girl at the desk does not smell anything because she is congested. She said smell going on for over a month. Yes, a sewage smell in a hotel can be dangerous because it indicates sewer gas, primarily hydrogen sulfide (H2S), which at high levels can cause severe respiratory issues, unconsciousness, and even death, plus it's flammable; while low levels usually just cause irritation, it's crucial to complain to hotel staff immediately to change rooms, ventilate, and get the issue fixed due to potential health risks and fire hazards.
