"Great location"
It was fantastic to just park the car and be able to walk to pubs, restaurants and shops. We found Margaret's Forest very quiet which was nice. The main reason we decided on Margaret's Forest was the fact that we wouldn't have to drive anywhere and just relax. Staff were very helpful, friendly and informative. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back.

    Pocket Guide: Margaret River

Our wide range of Margaret River accommodation is perfect for exploring all the area has to offer: From large wine estates, to boutique family operated concerns; from gorgeous scenery to culinary delights; from golf courses to forests, beaches and caves. We have a Margaret River hotel to suit every budget and holiday need. See our range of Margaret River Wine Region accommodation when booking your next getaway.

Our Margaret River hotels makes a great base for exploring the wineries of the internationally acclaimed wine growing region, whether you are doing it independently, through a tour company, or being chauffeur driven. Margaret River is one of Australia’s largest wine growing regions and although it only produces three percent of the nation’s grapes, the region is responsible for more than 20 per cent of the nation’s premium wines. The first vines were planted in 1967 and since then the region has taken off and boasts 110 grape producers and around 90 vineyards open to the public for tastings and cellar door sales.

Although the district is renowned for its chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon wines, the region is also gaining acclaim for its shiraz and merlot, semillon, sauvignon blanc, chenin blanc and verdelho varieties and there are plantings of exciting experimental varieties such as viognier and sangiovese, If you’ve got a sweet tooth that a dessert wine just isn’t going to satisfy, our Margaret River accommodation is a great base for visiting the Margaret River Chocolate Company factory or The Margaret River Fudge Factory, where you are able to watch confectionery being made by hand. The region boasts breath taking natural beauty: From the small creeks and sweeping valleys, to the thick native forests; from the rugged coastline, to the fascinating caves. Using our Margaret River hotels as a base, the natural beauty of the area can be appreciated through hiking and walking tours or by visiting the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park.

The area offers a number of outdoor activities including snorkelling, surfing the well-known breaks on the western coast and golfing at one of WA's most beautiful rural courses, the Margaret River Golf Club. Beach fishing is especially popular during May and June when huge schools of Australian salmon, on their annual spawning run, make their way up the coast north to Perth. Our Margaret River accommodation makes a great base for enjoying all these activities and for experiencing the local history and culture at Wardan Aboriginal Culture Centre and historic Ellensbrook house. If you're into your wine, browse our accommodation in other popular Australian wine regions or the Swan District in WA.
