"Self contained apartments in Margaret River"
Stayed for 7 nights. Very pleased with the location as walking distance to town. Nice complex with mix of houses and single apartments. A little run down but room very clean. Self contained with no services but all utensils you need. Refrigerator too small to hold any thing and freezer space unusable. Room rather dark and had to prop door open for more light but very cool even on hot days. Pool was only open 1 day when out of order sign posted. No apology or reason. Would have been used every day due to hot weather.

"Beautiful room & peaceful location"
Thank you for such a lovely stay at your bed & breakfast! The rooms are beautiful and I loved how the whole place was beautifully scented with fresh flowers and little hand made soaps. The continental breakfast was delicious and thank you for the REAL coffee! We will definitely be back for a longer stay.

"on the river"
Nice location very close to town. The river is nice with the local ducks making themselves at home among the cabins( my son loved them) Cabin was a little dated and creaked a lot but fine all the same. Nice to stay with a group of families as the shared facilities (bbq's, eating areas) are quite nice.

"Old but comfortable"
Late arrival notification was requested but the process for entry was well explained. The rooms were looking their age but very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and the shower was of a good size with plenty of water pressure. There was some noise from the adjacent rooms but nothing over the top and not the hotels doing. Management was very informative on check-in the following morning. The 'pub' downstairs was not noisy. It was in the medieval style as per the hotel and it was also a little dated but functional. Did not eat at the restaurant which did not appear to be serving breakfast.

"Peaceful Stay"
Pulling into the lodge I must be honest I wondered what I had done booking this place, it was further out from the actual town of M.R. then I thought, when we drove up the cottages and gardens looked a little bit rustic to me. HOWEVER, after meeting and talking to John the owner and then being taken to our room I was pleasantly surprised. The room was lovely just had the basics in it beautiful wooden table, gorgeous wooden wardrobe and wooden bed tables. Waking up to have your breakfast watching the Kangaroos and foxes and birds outside your door priceless. The trips we did were not that far from our lodge and John was able to recommend places to visit and we loved them all. It did remind me of the country cottages in New Zealand so that was a big plus. It is definetly not for everyone but it is definetly what we enjoyed. It is not a B & B but still a great and lovely place to stay. Loved loved loved our stay.

"Convenient location close to shops, restaurants ! "
Close to everything we wanted to do in the Margaret River. Shops, restaurants and wineries nearby whilst room clean, good size and well equipped. Perhaps the security of the ground floor room we stayed in could be improved as it was easily accessible from the road. better if fenced off!

Our wide range of Margaret River accommodation is perfect for exploring all the area has to offer: From large wine estates, to boutique family operated concerns; from gorgeous scenery to culinary delights; from golf courses to forests, beaches and caves. We have a Margaret River hotel to suit every budget and holiday need. See our range of Margaret River Wine Region accommodation when booking your next getaway.

Our Margaret River hotels makes a great base for exploring the wineries of the internationally acclaimed wine growing region, whether you are doing it independently, through a tour company, or being chauffeur driven. Margaret River is one of Australia’s largest wine growing regions and although it only produces three percent of the nation’s grapes, the region is responsible for more than 20 per cent of the nation’s premium wines. The first vines were planted in 1967 and since then the region has taken off and boasts 110 grape producers and around 90 vineyards open to the public for tastings and cellar door sales.

Although the district is renowned for its chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon wines, the region is also gaining acclaim for its shiraz and merlot, semillon, sauvignon blanc, chenin blanc and verdelho varieties and there are plantings of exciting experimental varieties such as viognier and sangiovese, If you’ve got a sweet tooth that a dessert wine just isn’t going to satisfy, our Margaret River accommodation is a great base for visiting the Margaret River Chocolate Company factory or The Margaret River Fudge Factory, where you are able to watch confectionery being made by hand. The region boasts breath taking natural beauty: From the small creeks and sweeping valleys, to the thick native forests; from the rugged coastline, to the fascinating caves. Using our Margaret River hotels as a base, the natural beauty of the area can be appreciated through hiking and walking tours or by visiting the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park.

The area offers a number of outdoor activities including snorkelling, surfing the well-known breaks on the western coast and golfing at one of WA's most beautiful rural courses, the Margaret River Golf Club. Beach fishing is especially popular during May and June when huge schools of Australian salmon, on their annual spawning run, make their way up the coast north to Perth. Our Margaret River accommodation makes a great base for enjoying all these activities and for experiencing the local history and culture at Wardan Aboriginal Culture Centre and historic Ellensbrook house. If you're into your wine, browse our accommodation in other popular Australian wine regions or the Swan District in WA.
