Pestana Palacio de Freixo The Palacio de Freixo was one of my most favourite stays ever. The renovation of the Palacio so sensitive , not in Disneyland way , but reimagined for the 21 C . Faithful to the old, but blended with contemporary touches Beautiful spacious rooms, delightful common areas and the grounds are sumptuous and traditional However , the overwhelming lasting impression is the professional and efficient staff , who were also genuinely friendly with a ready warm genuine smile I found Uber readily accessible to historic centre and taxi on the return plentiful. There is also a shuttle which we did not use. Pestana Palacio de Freixo is just delightful and highly recommended
