I needed a few days retreat away from the pressures and stresses of work, and a change of scenery from the arid lands, and this place was perfect. Magnificent views overlooking the mighty Murray River, peaceful, well equipped, lovely & comfy bed, and that spa.......aaaaaaaahhhhhhh! All in the perfect location for a couple of easy day trips exploring the beauty of this area.
We had a lovely stay. My husband wanted to take me away for the Australia Day holiday as it was one year from when my mother had passed as she died on Australia Day and it was going to be difficult day. Unfortunately I had also come down very unwell but it was too late to cancel so we still stayed. I have to say the bed was very comfortable as that is were I spent my entire time there. But we were very comfortable and my husband had a lovely pizza from The Haus. We would love to have had a meal together but I was just to sick. We did however have breakfast at The Haus and that was lovely. So hopefully we get to have another stay there and this time I hope not to be sick. We were concerned about being in the ground level apartment as we have stayed in a few and listened to the stomping of people upstairs. So the lady was nice enough to give us one that she had not as yet booked the upstairs apartment and we were lucky enough for it to stay empty so it was a very quiet night.
Despite being a little way out of town, this refurbished motel has two ideal rooms for families. Rooms 8 and 9 are adjoining but separated by a little hallway that makes for fantastic separation. The two bathrooms, well-appointed facilities and little touches made our stay pretty terrific.
