Disregard for safety

When I checked in the front desk attendant told me my room number, rather than showing it to me on the key sleeve. There was a man standing right behind me in line, who then knew where I, a woman traveling alone, was staying. In this day and age, any front desk attendant should know better than to do this. Fortunately the attendant mumbled so badly that the man behind me probably couldn’t hear my room number.

My shower was ice cold (not even luke warm after 10 minutes). The deadbolt wouldn’t lock. The walls were only partially painted. There were chunks of some food stuck to the drapes. The AC clunked each time it shut off. It was so bad that I left without sleeping there and probably won’t get any type of a refund for my 2 night stay.

Our room only had two lamps and was dark. Each bed only had two small pillows. When we called to ask for more they said they didn’t have any. The breakfast was not good. The eggs were dry and cold like they had been made the night before. The breakfast area was dirty including the chairs, table, and walls. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

Will NEVER stay at another Baymont because of this hotel. 2 tiny lights in the pool were working. It was SO dark, it was creepy. Key card wouldn’t unlock it so it was constantly propped open. No workout equipment worked at all, along with no doorknob on the door. The first room was SO smelly (stale smoke in a nonsmoking room). The second room was SO dirty (have tons of pics of that). We were supposed to stay 4 nights but after the first we were out of there! There was zero upkeep anywhere. Don’t be fooled by other reviews or images that are clearly very very outdated.

Room was filthy, holes in curtains, no ice bucket, one washcloth, one hand towel, when we asked housekeeping for another SET of towels, we got two more body towels. No bath mat, walls were DISGUSTING with ADULT sized handprints on them at bent over level…yes, come to your own conclusion. Huge clump of female length hair smeared on the inside of the shower wall, shampoo bottle had “BODI WASH” written on it in permanent marker, whole hotel was hot, humid and smelled of urine, someone kept trying to open our door several times in the middle of the night both nights, our bathroom smelled like drugs (not marijuana) the morning of the 28th when we were going to leave, I got so sick from the overwhelming smell. Carpet had not been vacuumed in who knows how long based on the garbage on it and mysterious white stains…ick. Chunks of wall missing in bathroom and again, dirty walls, afraid to touch anything in here. Water in shower was perfect temp turned all the way on. But when I was in for maybe 2 minutes, it would suddenly turn scalding hot as if someone flushed the toilet, then freezing cold, then normal, again. It would do this maybe 6-7 times in a 10 minute shower!!! The room smells like unwashed rear end, it was just an awful stay all around. The last time was a lot better and a lot nicer, aside from not shutting down the pool when someone’s child pooped in it. Unfortunately, many events in town, and this was the only place left with reasonable vacancy.

Heads Up

There was long hair stuck to the shower wall and other gross things I found in the bathroom. I bought 2 nights stay and after the first night, housekeeping tried to barge into my room twice. I scrambled and yelled not to come in and they still swiped there card to enter. After they hit my door jam, they repeated the process. Finding out later that the front office screwed up my itinerary and made a mess of my billing. The people that helped were very nice and did eventually resolve the issue, but this is something that should be made aware.

I would stay again for a one night stay.

Room was nice, Everything was updated but the walls. They needed paint in rooms and hall walls. The room was comfy and clean. Weight room was closed. I was told all of the equipment was broken, I was not able to use it. Hot tub needs a scrub. I choose to not go in.

Baby front desk worker

The hotel on most part was good. My only issue was at check in. There wasn't anyone at the front desk when I arrived. I waited for almost 10 minutes before someone came. When she finally came she had her baby with her. She proceeds to sit the baby in a regular chair that was behind the desk. The lady gave me keys for a room. When I got to the room and opened the door I noticed that it had one bed not two beds which I had paid for. Also I believe it was someone else's room because I noticed some flip flop by the bed. I proceeded back down to the front desk. I explained to the woman what happened. She never apologize for her mistake or offer any compensation. All she did was look for a room that I reserved. She handed me my keys and I went to my room. The room was comfortable. Only thing is that it was chip paint on the walls. On Sunday morning as I was getting dressed I noticed a family of ladybugs along the window.

Room was extremely dirty. Bathroom had not been scrubbed down, splatters all over the walls, staff was stirring around the hotel with only one person who helped check us in.

Comfy rooms and friendly service!

Excellent showers and comfy beds! Heat and AC worked great. Convenient to have the microwave and fridge in the room. Front desk and housekeeping was so friendly and helpful. We already booked again!

The room was great value. The breakfast was not very good but we were impressed that it was an amenity. Also there was only 1 wash clothe in the bathroom.
