Madeira Dreams has great potential. The location is fantastic, the facilities are well-maintained, and the staff (when properly trained) are excellent. However, poorly executed food, inconsistent service, and logistical issues drag the experience down. With better food quality, stronger service training, and an emphasis on showcasing local Madeiran cuisine, the resort could truly shine. But as it stands, it’s a hit-or-miss experience that leaves guests wondering if they got their money’s worth. Would I return? Only if improvements are made. Would I recommend it? For those prioritizing location over dining—but with clear expectations.

This all-inclusive resort had the best drinks and restaurant (not the buffet) quality I have experienced out of the 11 different all-inclusive resorts I have been to. However, the buffet was below average quality and made worse by being in a tight space for the number of guests they had. The staff were largely inexperienced, or lazy, and supervisors were working too much to be effective supervisors. The hotel itself is awesome with a village setting in a very picturesque location. My overall experience is good, but could easily been exceptional with better management of the staff and buffet.

You do thorough research: comparing hotels, poring through sites’ pictures & amenities, factoring in location, expense & time…..all to ensure a rewarding vacation. While every person may have different tastes and likes, as an all inclusive resort, Dreams Madeira Resort, Spa & Marina, a luxury Hyatt collection hotel stands near the top. No need to read any further. Choose Dreams Madeira and then go get spoiled! Like myself, you’ll be patting yourself on the back, during and after your stay, for an excellent selection.

Absolutely the best All-Inclusive resort in Madeira. Dreams is a recently re-branded hotel resort complex covering a vast area from the beach all the up through a mini village. With a variety of rooms, and services on offer including restaurants, cafes and pools. Staff are incredible, always happy to help and seem very happy to work there with the exception of the World Cafe. We noticed over a period of the 3 nights we were staying there that there was a little battle going on with the local Madeiran staff and non local staff which to be honest is ugly and unacceptable. This happened to one of the cooks on station, he was shouted at by another cook which wasn't very nice. We also noticed this was done in front of guests which isn't very professional and we tried raising this with reception however, we were told to make any complaints through their website!! I informed the receptionist it wasn't a complaint but an observation but was ignored. Moving on, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and everything except the world cafe staff was just as expected from a Hyatt brand. I understand the hotel is opening in phases but would suggest more entertainment in the evening. Food was exceptional Staff were professional (mostly) Facilities that were open were great Getting around, very easy Internet, very fast Using the App to reserve restaurants, activities, great idea Free minibar in the room

Dissapointing main buffet, main bar and Japonese restaurant - disorganized staff, drinks service fails etc. We made reservation for 3 adults, but, except of sofa bed done and towels, room was set for 2 persons - 2 bathrobes, 2 cups, 2 glases, drinks for 2 in minibar. Ask for 3rd bathrobe, but never receive it. App is great for restaurant resevation but useless to order housekeeping or maintaince.

We were extremely disappointed as we booked this hotel due its facilities, specially the spa and indoor pool but nothing was opened and we were never notified. We had Also emailed the hotel various times to book a table for our gala dinner and had confirm that this had been done but to our surprise there was no table booked and we ended up with the last slot at 9pm. Spent over 1400 pounds for 2 nights with nothing to do as the hotel has recently opened but it’s obviously not ready and also short staffed. Hope we get some sort of compensation as this is really unexceptionable

Amazing stay at Dreams Madeira

Me and my partner had an amazing stay here! The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The hotel room was beautiful, as was the rest of the hotel. The food was delicious and we were spoilt for choice with the buffet breakfast. I also went to a yoga class one morning and really enjoyed it. Couldn't recommend staying here enough!

Hotel was very nice and service on the whole was good apart from one barman who insisted on having an argument with me about the drink I wanted, it was dealt with at the time by a concierge who apologised and offered some retribution e.g. something nice for our room but this was never received. Food was ok but was cold in the buffet restaurant. Despite so much staff the service to the lobby bar was slow and at the beach bar. The premium club food that was left out all day woul probably have given us food poisoning if we had eaten it. Too much staff versus guests meant meals were served so quickly and you felt awkward as they hung around in the restaurants. Nice hotel but some work needs to be done on the food for sure.

Insgesamt ein absolut zu empfehlendes Hotel in ruhiger Lage. Die Anlage und die Zimmer sind sehr schön und top gepflegt. Das Personal war stets hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und auch die Qualität in den A-la-Carte Restaurants ist hervorragend. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Cocoa Café, das sehr leckeren Kaffee aus dem Siebträger zu bieten hat! Ebenso gehören das Steak-Restaurant und die Sushi-Bar zu unseren Highlights. Kostenlose Parkplätze gibt es direkt am Hotel. Das Hotel hat seine fünf Sterne verdient und ist eines der besten, das wir je besucht haben. Einziges kleines Manko ist, dass der Indoor-Pool noch nicht fertiggestellt ist, ansonsten lässt das Hotel wirklich keine Wünsche offen.
