Definitely going back, regardless of the issues!
The place is very nice. When you arrive you do not feel like you are in New Jersey but rather at a tropical location. Upon entry to Ocean Place, you can tell that the location needs some updating but nonetheless it was acceptable. The beach absolutely stunningly beautiful and kept immaculate. Surprisingly the bedrooms are a very nice size. But the rooms also need some updating. Maintenance had to be called as the sink in the bathroom needed to be unclogged. The small ice box in small room refrigerator was completely iced over, though it did Keep what small items we had in there cold. So again maintenance had to be cold. The ice machine on the 4th floor was not working so we had to go up to the fifth floor for ice. The sliding doors in the closet hung from their track, but swung in and out whenever the door to the room with hit it because the door stopper was also broken. This was not just in our room, but the second room that we also reserved. The refrigerator in that room didn't work at all, so maintenance did replace that refrigerator. So it was a lot of housekeeping issues with these two rooms but that did not deter the feeling of being in a cozy tropical Resort. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would say the experience was a 7.5. The amenities comfortable enough because you really don't spend too much time in the room anyway. I did appreciate the abundance of towels. Nonetheless we will definitely be going back sooner than later!
