Lovely last minute stay. A short walk to town centre and pier. Hotel was very dated and the rooms definitely need sprucing up. However it was clean, the beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. Bar prices very reasonable, and the breakfast was awesome. We were going to use the pool but changing rooms were under maintenance and we didnt fancy rocking up to reception in our swimwear! Staff lovely and friendly. We did not use rhe car park, we parked on the side street until 4pm then main road after 4pm as it was free between 4pm-10am. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel staff were very good with no issues. The room was clean tidy and warm. I was not impressed by the food options available for the evening meal. Very little choice, disappointing in fact for such a large hotel. As for the parking cost, it was more expensive than to park on the street. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

Booked a 4 night stay on room only basis. Was it the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at no, however it was a great location, staff were great room was dated but clean and cosy, no double glazing on window that definitely needs looking at. We had a bar meal which was really nice and good value, the swimming pool was lovely and warm and we made the most of it. A great few days walking and relaxing we would go back but I may upgrade our room next time.

I stayed in the Marine hotel for 9 nights in Oct 2025, I can't praise it enough. On arrival the reception staff were very polite and the check in was quick and easy. All staff in the hotel were polite and helpful. The hotel is not a 5 star but has all that you need to enjoy a break. My room was a 3rd floor with sea view, the lift was great. There is a tempting swimming pool which looked clean, I didn't have time to try it out. If you are looking for a low cost hotel, within walking distance of shops etc, I would happily recommend the Marine, as long as you don't mind creaky floor boards. Great value for the price. Thanks to all the staff for their helpfulness and friendliness.
