The location is excellent—close to Miradouro de Santa Luzia and Manteigaria, the famous pastel de nata shop. Most attractions are within a 20–25 minute walk, including Praça do Comércio. The hotel itself feels very safe, the rooms are clean, and 24-hour coffee is a great bonus. Just keep in mind that this is Lisbon, and the Alfama neighborhood is known for its steep streets.

I booked this hotel because the thought of staying in a historic convent intrigued me. What I didn’t realize was that the area has very steep streets. Public transportation, including Tram 28, is close by for going into the main square area. The ladies at the front desk are so helpful with directions and suggestions. I read that the beds are hard and that is true but honestly I think it did my back some good after 4 days of climbing the hills. I wish the pillows were a bit softer. The room was an average size for a European hotel. It was comfortable and the shower was great. I didn’t partake in the breakfast but it smelled delicious. They also offer transportation to the airport for €20. Only taxis can access the front of the hotel so if you don’t feel like lugging your suitcases up the street to get an Uber, book a taxi.

Loved Hotel Convento do Salvador and would highly recommend but don't walk to or from hotel with luggage as it's extremely hilly and uneven cobblestone roads... Our view of Tagus River was amazing

Very clean, comfortable room. Friendly helpful staff that arranged a taxi for us to airport (we paid $20). Just be aware bedroom is upstairs and you must lug your suitcases up to unpack. We visited in November, so did not use, but it looked like the room had air conditioner.

Room was newly renovated and clean. Staff friendly and helpful to deal with. Area where it's located not all taxis, urber's can get to, down, on a steep hill, so have to get your baggage up and down. Streets cobblestone, which can also makes things more difficult. Very challenging for someone with mobility issues, as all that area is fairly hilly.
