Lobby area looks very nice and upscale but rooms and room furnishings are very outdated. A/C system did not work well - room would not cool down the first night. Internet was buggy, and despite staff "help", we could not access the secure wifi. Otherwise, staff was pleasant and polite.

Revisiting After A Decade

Its been over a decade since I have stayed here. Some things look a little tired but the rooms are big and clean, pillows ans cushions are wonderful. Towels are super white but not too fluffy. I cannot complain. Its pretty decent. The breakfast is very good. Location is ideal especially for the horse park. The QR parking is a PITA however i would recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay again

We love the location and hotel. We are seniors and would appreciate grab bars in the showers.scary and dangerous without! Also, our room 237 bathroom sink was clogged and we had gnats. The room was located between the ice/soft drink machine room and house keeping(noisey). They should not locate anyone here. Overall, the hotel is well maintained, breakfast is great, location great for us coming off interstate 64. We love this hotel and hope this review helps continue their past quality.

Lovely hotel, a bit dated, clean, would stay again

We received a call after 3pm night of check-in, that our room had been 'put out-of-order' and our reservation would be moved to a different hotel. With 2 adults and 4 kids, I am very particular about hotels to make sure we can all stay together in one room or suite. It ended up that the hotel representative was able to place us in a suite at the Embassy that accommodated all of us. It was a bit stressful that this happened so late in the day, just a short time before we were to arrive. We travel a lot and have never had something like this happen before. It all worked out fine, and we had a nice stay.

Need new beds!

The beds and pillows were absolutely horrible. I woke up with my back and neck in so much pain from the previous nights sleep.

They didn't have a room when we arrived, although we had a reservation. So we waited on a room and they said they would call us when it was ready. Finally, we went back up to the desk and asked if it was ready. She said "let me check". She then said it was ready. So it was about 8: 00 pm when we finally got checked in. It was difficult on my 86-year-old father. It seemed to be not so handicap friendly in the atrium area as we found it difficult to navigate the wheelchair.

The room was clean. It was quiet. Front desk staff seemed not to care and actually forgot that we were waiting on a room for which we had a reservation. Maybe the overall deteriorated condition of the property is due to its proximity to the University of Kentucky. For breakfast I generally eat only 4 slices of bacon and 2 eggs. When I ordered breakfast the plate had 2 eggs and 2 pieces of bacon. When I asked if I could have 2 more he said "you can only have 1 more" and only gave me 1 more.

Dirty room

Hotel was dirty, towel holder was broke, and there was extra parking fees that we didn't know about until we checked out.

A great stop off the highway for thru- travelers. Wouldn’t recommend a long stay due to the surrounding amenities. Clean beds but there hadn’t been an extensive clean in sometime. Hershey kiss hidden behind the bed when we had our dog with us, assuming from a previous guest, dust and cobwebs throughout the room.

pull out sofa bed had what looked like blood stains on it. My son was disgusted by it. We went a bought an air mattress for him to sleep on. didn't think of taking a picture of it. room 440
