Retreat to a peaceful getaway atop the scenic Pocono Mountains. Take an early morning stroll with a steaming cup of coffee surrounding yourself with nature on a private trail through the woods. Explore the local sites such as the historic town of Jim Thorpe, white water rafting in the summer, or Blue Mountain Resort for winter and summer activities. Return to your home away from home with the comfort of a cozy fireplace and the convenience of Wi-Fi and access to log into your choice of streaming services or the perfect place to unplug.

This chalet style home can sleep up to 8 people. The main floor includes two bedrooms (one with a Queen bed and one with a Double bed) and a full bathroom with a shower. The second floor includes a master bedroom (Queen bed and a full bathroom with a shower), along an open loft area with a double futon bed.

The main floor is open with a double story family room area including a gas fireplace, Wi-Fi enabled TV, and DVD player. The family room flows into a small kitchen with a refrigerator/freezer, electric stove, sink, microwave, and a Keurig (note there is not a dishwasher). The main floor provides access to a deck with a view of the woods and pond.

The loft area includes a Wi-Fi enabled TV and PlayStation.

Every room is equipped with a separate thermostat for the heat, affording guests control of the warmth in each bedroom and shared space in the house. Basic internet service/ Wi-Fi is provided via HughesNet.

There is an unfinished basement that includes laundry facilities (washer and dryer).

The property includes a small fish pond (no swimming or fishing in pond) and a wide private path through the woods for nature walks where you may encounter deer, turkey, and squirrels.

There is a circular driveway with parking comfortably accommodating four vehicles.

Quaint little place in a beautiful setting
The road leading up, the house and the pond is absolutely stunning. Beautiful house, very clean and well furnished. Toiletries and towels were well stocked. The backyard fire pit with well stocked firewood was such a blessing on a cold rainy night. Ideal for 5-6 people, we were 8 so was a bit tight. Definitely would visit again and recommend the place

Great spot in the woods
We stayed there to cycle thru the Lehigh Gorge and see a concert outside Jim Thorpe. It's a perfect place to stay to enjoy all the region has to offer.

Great rental home
We were only in town with friends overnight, but decided to rent a house instead of hotels so that we could enjoy more time together. Paul’s place did not disappoint! The house is very clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable. The owner supplied everything we could need for our time there. We were near enough to area attractions without being right on top of a neighbor. Great place for a family gathering or friend's weekend. We’d definitely stay again when we are in the area.

The house was amazing in a beautiful secluded setting. The owners thought of everything for everyone. The fish pond is really great - loved feeding them. If I ever come back to the area, I would love to rent it again!

Great place!
The house is deep inside the forest and it’s the only house out there, making it so special. If you are looking for a peaceful/ calming time, def recommend! The only thing was that the smell wasn’t good at the beginning bc I guess the house was just got paints recently. After having the windows open for a while, the odor disappeared so it wasn’t bother me at all.

Pauls Place is a Great Place
Secluded, cozy house that was perfect for a long weekend getaway. Appreciated the very clean house. It’s a short drive to Jim Thorpe and local wineries and then back to a peaceful, quiet setting. The owners are responsive and clearly want to make sure their guests are happy. The homage and background story about Paul was inspiring and a nice touch. Will definitely stay here again!

BEAUTIFUL!
The pictures do not do this house, nor the property justice!! Absolutely Gorgeous!! Loved how far back the house sets off the road. You have such a beautiful view from every window in the house. My SIL and nephew went for a walk early in the morning and said it was breathtaking. If you love nature it's a must! The house was spotless and every room had such detail. It was warm and cozy from the moment we stepped in. They have everything you will need for your stay for ALL AGES and more!! They were so attentive and responsive which made us feel like family. We definitely plan to come back! It is a hidden gem for sure!!

Amazing serenity
My wife and I stayed overnight at this amazing property. Although only a short time (less than 24 hours) it was one of the most relaxing getaways we ever had. The property is set back in the woods and is so quiet and peaceful. The house has everything you need, they even have disposable tooth brushes! Everything felt brand new and I would love to come and stay here again. The owners are amazing! We had a minor issue that they were insanely fast to resolve on a Friday night at 9:30. I am super grateful that they were so responsive and friendly. Definitely stay at this property if you are in the area and need a place to stay. It is beautiful!

My wife and I stayed here with four college aged children. Skied at Blue Mountain two days. The house was great - as advertised and enjoyable. Communication was great. Definitely recommend!

Paul’s Place- perfect get away
We took our daughters for a quick get away/ quality time. Paul’s Place was located on a quiet, beautiful property and had everything we could need from linen's to fully equipped kitchen, board games, video library, gaming area, washer/dryer and beautiful scenic grounds for walking. The decor was a great mix of modern and comfortable. Our hosts were amazing, answering all our questions quickly from preparing for our stay through our departure from the property, and making sure the driveway was plowed after the snow Friday evening. Their attention to detail was impressive. We enjoyed being greeted with beautiful fresh flowers, a box of chocolates, dessert and a nice note greetings us as their first guests. We look forward to returning with our entire family. Although we wish we could keep this place our secret we give it 5 stars and highly recommend
