Loved the Black Swan. Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice location and good food. The only problem I had was that the shower wasn't really good. Very light water pressure so it actually took longer to take a shower than I normally do because it takes longer to rinse off. Also, no rubber bath mat inside the shower to reduce slipping, no grab bars, and the water didn't drain right away so I was standing in water which also upped the risk for slipping.

Oh oh New England!

The Black Swan is a reliable stay. If you are passing through, get the cheaper rooms on the parking lot side, if you are staying for a few nights get a room with a lake view and balcony. Not a chain!

Nice location, clean grounds. The room was adequate. Two suggestions are offered; first the decks would benefit greatly by having privacy barriers in between. There is zero privacy outside on your private deck otherwise. Second, The water machine would be more useful if left on after breakfast hours. The area is nice. For the price I’d say it’s an 8/10.
