Very nice lodge atmosphere. The gathering area was comfortable with games and a lot of light and was walkable to several hiking trails. Restaurant across the street was the best.

One receptionist (younger, dark hair; Rachel?) was particularly helpful, advising that a tour bus was arriving soon, and to take early advantage of the adjacent restaurant. Gave detailed instructions on hikes to the waterfalls.

The canyon is absolutely beautiful, relaxing, lobby is inviting as we enjoyed a drink with our granddaughter—it’s a very inviting area for conversations! Don’t change a thing. In our room, the bathroom could use a grab bar or two.

Beautiful property near waterfalls in Spearfish Canyon. Huge, rustic and, inviting common area with enormous rock fireplace. Free coffee bar and bar serving food in lobby. Nice restaurant across the street. Prompt and easy housekeeping requests met. Very nice and helpful front desk staff and housekeeping. Quiet, clean, and nice rooms. Would love to visit again.

Beautiful location basic hotel

The location is beautiful and hiking to waterfalls amazing. We stayed two nights for the beauty of the canyon and that gets a 10. The wedding tents on the front lawn definitely takes away from the appearance of the lodge. Never could get a good picture. Rooms are basic. The one restaurant makes you drive to town to eat or bring your own. Fireplace in lobby beautiful. Spearfish canyon is beautiful and worth seeing
