New ownership is running it into the ground. No restaurant or breakfast in the lounge, half the machines are gone, closed down completely at midnight Friday night. Not replacing booze; very little in the bar. Never seen so many out of service signs in one place. Used to be my favorite stay. Won’t go back.

We stayed last year at the same time. The rooms were much cleaner. This year the bathroom floor was filthy. The hook was falling of the bathroom door, the frame around the door to go outside was not even attached to the wall and the key card spot on the other door cover kept falling off.

Great Creek running behind rooms, with great views. Didn't like that. You could hear the people walking around upstairs constantly. Every door in our room had to be forced to get shut. Nothing shut easily so it was noisy!

The listing said there was a restaurant but it was closed. The front desk staff could not answer basic questions about the area. The rooms were dirty.

Emailed the hotel a month in advance requesting a room on the east wing, they never answered and when we checked in they said nothing was available. There is no restaurant on site anymore and about 1/2 of the slots they used to have.

Great place to stay

We love this place. We stayed in the honeymoon suite. It had a beautiful view of the stream. The staff were so helpful and professional. Highly recommend staying here, in Deadwood. We brought our side by side and they had great place to park with a trailer so we never had to unhook the entire time. Location was close to trails and a trolley to get around Deadwood if you do t want to drive at all.
