Once you leave the property, there’s nothing there to do any shopping. You have to take a cab to go in town.

Door lock not working

Pleasant overnight stay, but one issue with one of the guest rooms we stayed at that the electronic door lock was not working. It wasn't found out until the next day before checking out. This is unacceptable especially with the issue of security and safety for a supposedly "5-star" hotel.

We had a great time!

Very good resort. Decent private beach during high tides. Good for snorkeling. We did see some poisonous sea snakes as well. Guess they are generally harmless unless you poke them. The crowd was good, looks like it is a favorite place amongst Koreans  The breakfast was excellent. Don’t miss to try their local Taa Ho! We had a great time at this place. Definitely we will come back again!

Staff were all fantastic and hospitality was great. Room was comfy and clean and reset daily. Breakfast was a highlight and managed very well. Dip Nikkei was the only disappointment. I had the Crab Causa, which was over powered by mayo and sauce. Ceviche and Nigiri was good but had hoped for more. Matcha cheesecake was a little dry and overdone. I also had the Pork Bao at the pool the following day and again it was overly sauced. Felt like some work and refinement needed. Buhi was my favourite spot to be in, staff were great and the small food selection was great! The pork skewers and chicken with pineapple vinegar were amazing. I’d expand the food offering here!

Staff & service were excellent. The Dip restaurant for dinner was first class. However, there were queues at breakfast & it was very crowded around the pool area. The buildings are tired & leaky, and the surrounding area is very unattractive.

A great place to stay but needs minor improvement

I have stayed in Sheraton Mactan a lot of times and have enjoyed every stay but for this trip there are some things I would like to say and comment. Room - before they provided rubber slippers which was very convenient since their beach is very rocky, now they only provide the typical room slippers. They should revert back to providing the rubber ones since they are more applicable. Maybe provide both for the customer to choice. Overall experience is great and comfortable though. Food service - Pool food is until 4:30pm but you can stay at the pool until 8pm. It would be nice if they still serviced that menu until the pool closes. It would also be nice if you can order the same pool menu for in-room services. Breakfast - breakfast is always great but it would be nice if they have an option to provide packed breakfast for people who needs to leave the resort early for an activity or for check-out. Entertainment - it would be great if they added an arcade similar to Shangrila Mactan’s Timezone.

Had a great stay here. From check in to check out everything was great. The staff was friendly and attentive and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Loved the amenities. The only setback would be that it’s far from the city or any other food/malls etc. (you would have to Grab and the closest would be like 10 mins away) Also their pool and beach times close very early. (Pool closes at 8pm and beach 6pm) seems like a more family friendly place. Their breakfast buffet is really good with lots of variety. Overall great time!
