A taste of paradise being in the rain fiorest and still see the sea. Hotel staff were all friendly, our chalet was a bit dated but it added to the natural surroundings, the floor boards could be looked at creeked all the time. Views were amazing and you felt like you were living in the rain forest close to nature with so many animals and birds to see. Food was very good and liked how we could choose which restaurant to dine in each night. As far as eco more needs to be fone as plastic water bottles delivered each day no water filling station and toiletries were small individuals where large shower and shampoo dispensers would use less plastic. Hotel kindly decorated our room and provided a lovely csje as i said it was my husbands special birthday which he was very grateful for. Mini bar in room is a nice touch, would be nice to have bath robes as only slippers were provided. Would i recommend... .yes this is paradise!!

We arrived a day late to the hotel due to flight delays and the hotel and Expedia refused to refund us. It was nearly $600/night for on the water suite. During check in, we went to guest kiosk (right of check-in) and Intan was making me feel like i was stupid for asking a refund, making faces, smiling (lauging almost) when i asked question and talking to Saad next to her in their native language. I spoke to them throughout the stay just to see if they're always like this and one day when their management was there, Saad was super friendly. Anyways, we got lucky with our room since that was the best one at the property (room 1523) since it offered privacy and amazing views and was actually on the water unlike some other rooms where the water doesnt get there until tide comes in. They drive you in a buggy around the property to get to your room so id say if i got any other room, i probably wouldnt have enjoyed my stay since it was so hot and humid, we maily stayed in the room and enjoyed the view. I think if you get the forest challets expedia tries to charge you for breakfast but from what i saw on their website and whay i experienced on the property, breakfast is included with all the rooms so dont get scammed. Breakfast was a great experience, they have so much food! Sardines Sambal with the coconut rice is a must try, but easy on the sambal, it's spicy. The beach is alright, couldnt see any fish though. No more than 4 days needed in Langkawi id say.

Property is bit worn out including rooms. But the service is good plus the facilities they give in the price like mini bar, dinner coupons etc. Breakfast options at Dayang cafe are not too bad but the service is not that great given they have to serve a big crowd so it is always chaotic.

Second time back at this resort which we find very relaxing the resort itself is fabulous from the gorgeous pool area to the beach bar and ocean with lovely white sand - we stay in the Seaview chalet which has an amazing view of the ocean - lots of beautiful wildlife here wish we had done the Nature Walk maybe next time - spa was really good my hubby said was the best massage he ever had I got the full body scrub which was also very good - staff here are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make your stay one to remember - big shout out to all the staff at the Beach Bar especially Ganga who remembered us from our last visit - Fire show here is really good make sure to get to the beach early for a good spot - Food - breakfast was not great this time and food in restaurants was a bit hit and miss which was the only disappointing part of this visit - in saying that it won’t stop us coming again - cable car you can walk to and is a must do the views are wonderful - we also caught a ferry from the marina near by just 7 mins in the car and went across to Koh Lipe Thailand for 2 days - plenty to do and you can book trips through the hotel 🏖️🏖️

So worth the trip! The highlight of the trip is the stay at berjaya resort. It’s clean quiet great breakfast buffet. My favorite restaurants are the Thai restaurant which requires reservations and bb. Enjoy sunet or just sit there listen to waves. Highly recommended!

Amazing resort. The cabin we stayed in was the sea view one which had the most incredible view. Walking through the rainforest everyday was amazing, but do make sure to bring bug spray with you. The pool and beach were amazing and always clean. The lounge chairs at the pool fill up quick, make sure to get down there early. What made this place so incredible is the staff. Every single interaction was amazing, they would always go above and beyond for us, including setting up a honeymoon greetings on the bed for our arrival. 10/10 service. The food was also amazing, all restaurants on the resort had tasty food and made it feel like we never gad to leave the resort to eat. Bugs will come in if you leave your door open, but we made sure to go in quick and generally avoided any tiny friends coming in. But the resort did leave bug repellant in the room which was a nice touch, as well as the umbrellas everywhere including in the room. The wifi wasn’t the best overall, which is my only point of constructive feedback. I would recommend this place 100%, specifically because of the staff and how hospitable they were. The spa was also a 10/10 experience, despite those cheeky monkeys running into the reception area causing havoc.

Loved our stay at Berjaya and will be back. The Rainforest Studio we stayed in gave us exactly what we wanted, surrounded by trees, with a view of the ocean. Monkeys were plentiful and a joy to watch but not bothered. Built into the side of the mountain the resort is spread out, quiet and close to nature. If walking isn't your thing there's a bunch of (quiet electric) shuttles that cruise around and you call it can hop on. Food was amazing at all restaurants, staff were warm and kind, bed/room was comfy. The only thing I'd suggest is that kids club was aimed at young children. No staff organised pool activities or games for a kid of 8. But he made a friend each day on the pool and they created their own fun. We'll be back!

This is without doubt a spectacular setting! We really enjoyed our stay. As others have said the decor is tired and I would add that the family chalet is still Not particularly roomy. The staff around the hotel are warm and friendly but there is not the ratio of staff to guests you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The food was average throughout, we didn’t leave hungry but nothing was wow or even very good. In reality I think the resort is a very good 3.5 star hotel in a 5 star location. The wildlife was our priority and this did not disappoint, the nature walk with arm was brilliant he was really informative. Having said all the above, we loved our stay and feel that the price reflects the quality as the berjaya is significantly cheaper than both the westin and four seasons on the island. We would recommend to friends! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, just don’t go with illusions of 5 star service or amenities.

Our chalet was upgraded to on the water premium chalet after hearing we have stayed there a few years ago. Highly recommend this resort for service, food, facilities and friendly staff. Tourist attractions are near by.

Perfect location for jungle wildlife

It’s a beautiful location with lovely wooden chalets to maintain the integrated look. Amazing wildlife right outside your window. So many dining options. Not too over priced. Lovely beach.
