On June 14, 2025, I reserved two rooms. The system said they were non-refundable, so I reserved them. A few minutes after booking, I was told the hotel was under renovation. If I had known that in advance, I wouldn't have paid what they charged me for each room because it's not worth it. In other words, the hotel is undergoing major renovations, and the entrance looks ugly. What they're charging is very expensive considering the mess they have at the hotel. They don't notify you before you book, in other words the room is already reserved and you can't do anything about it because they've already charged you, and they won't refund your money if you don't like the hotel. If you want a nice hotel, don't go to this one. Not right now. Ask if they've finished remodeling, and if not, don't pay them those exorbitant amounts they want to charge for this mess.

The place was under construction and we were not informed about it until arrival. Room keys kept failing. Huge line to check in. Room cleaning was unavailable. Parking cost an extra $20 day. Overpriced for the stay. Beautiful views and nice room. Casino was under construction as well.

Harvey’s Review Good Overall

Room accommodations were great. Room was recently remodeled and very clean. Had a wonderful view of Lake Tahoe. Only negative was the construction going on in the lobby area leading to shops and underground tunnel, connecting Harrah’s. Temporary walls were constructed like a maze, and very confusing to get around. Except for that, our stay was wonderful and the hitel will be great when all the remodeling has been done.

Our room was really nice however this casino is under a MAJOR renovation! The lobby is torn up and 1/2 the casino is closed off. Had we known it was this bad, we would’ve stayed somewhere else. We spent most of our time at Harrahs instead just because it was a mess at Harvey’s. The one thing that really made us mad was a knock on the door at 8:45am. We were sound asleep and when I opened the door, I was asked if we were checking out today. I booked the room for 1 day and was set to check out at 11am. Terrible practice to knock on doors asking if you’re leaving.

The entire hotel was under heavy construction. The parking structure was also under construction, with one side blocked off. The elevator in the parking garage was malfunctioning — it was making loud noises and at one point, one of the elevators even got stuck. It was very unsafe and inconvenient. I had specifically booked and paid extra for a room with a view, but I couldn’t even open my blinds because of the ongoing construction work right outside. The room itself was poorly stocked — only two towels and no tissue paper provided. The lobby was also under construction, with a strong unpleasant smell lingering throughout. I was charged resort fee but hot tub was under conTo make matters worse, the noise level at night was unbearable. Housekeeping staff were extremely loud in the hallways — slamming doors, talking loudly, and making it impossible to get any sleep. I came to Lake Tahoe for a relaxing experience, but this stay turned out to be stressful and miserable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone until they have fully completed all construction and address their service issues. Very disappointed.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel from 5/24/25 to 5/25/25, itinerary #73114576798638. During my stay, I experienced a significant issue due to construction work taking place in the lobby that was not properly communicated to guests. I found that the upon of arrival. Specifically, there was a major construction project with extensive dust and noise, which was not disclosed at any point during the booking process. The resulting dust and fumes caused me considerable discomfort and I believe contributed to an illness I developed shortly after my stay. I was expecting a comfortable and safe stay, and the lack of communication regarding the construction was unacceptable. The dust and fumes in the lobby were so severe that it was impossible to avoid being affected. I request that you consider a partial refund for my stay as compensation for the inconvenience and health issues caused by the undisclosed construction. Alternatively, I would appreciate a complimentary future stay to make up for the poor experience. Sincerely, Glenda Porras

The room was pretty nice. It has a good view the one that we book, but it was under the construction and unfortunately, we did not have a good stay because you have to wait for longer to get the reception registration and plans it was under the construction, but the room and it is walkable to everywhere.
