The rooms were smaller and dated. Didn’t have any house keeping services, even after we called and requested it. The location of the property is perfect for families with kids, it’s walking distance to the beach/lake as well as close to shops and restaurants.

SO SO FOR THE COST

A large portion of the parking lot was blocked off and not many spaces were available because of that. The Tiki Bar was ridiculously expensive ($20. for a Mai Tai); the Boathouse Restaurant needs a health and safety check. The steps to the upper floor are dangerous. Had a partial lake view which was excellent (3rd floor).

Pictures of resort look more appealing on line than the property actually was in person. Parking was very limited. I asked house keeping to come to replenish towels two different times and never did. They should have a place to wash off feet after coming up from the beach.

They decided to have an event and very noisy/loud. They were drilling into the side of the 2story building and closed off the beach for a private event. Then why charge a resort fee if we can’t use all the amenities.

First the pros, the resort is on the beach. In the summer they have a dee jay for several hours down by the beach on Saturday and Sunday. There is a CVS, Safeway foods and gas station right there. All the staff was polite and friendly. Cons, the buildings are older and have not been renovated recently. This shows in the rooms. There was an unexpected power outage x2 one day and then there was no hot water for about the next 24 hours. There are over 200 units and the laundry only has 2 washers and 2 dryers. Washcloths were the least available linens to get on a daily basis. The rooms do not have alot of storage space for luggage or otherwise. A couple day stay would be fine. We stayed a full week and it became more challenging with the mentioned above.

If you want good service, don’t stay here. We were actually told by the cleaning crew when we asked if they were coming into our room next, “you clean your own room”. Dining options were very limited. We added our name to the pier restaurant and were told they would text us when the table was ready for the 1.5 hour wait, no text. Tried sidelines, very limited menu and they were out of a bunch of items. No coffee in the lobby one day, another day no cream for the coffee. Limited seating at pool and only about 20 chairs and 3 cabanas to rent on the beach. The s’mores were a nice surprise. Dog friendly which was nice but dogs were on the outdoor patio cushion furniture so if you are ok with dog hair on clothes, you would be fine. Room was dated, but clean when we arrived. Balcony was nice to have.

The location is good as there is beach access , but the property itself is not that great . Room was clean but small and did not look as great as photos . It had a bit of a motel feel . Someone below our room was smoking weed the whole time and we could smell it in our room , we called the front desk but no one answered.

Dogs running loose and actual dog poops in walkways and displayed on decorative rocks- so disgusting. The lake view is nice and i love a balcony but the rooms lack space, table surfaces or dresser. The parking was terrible and then got worse when they closed 2 of the parking lots. We encountered some rude staff and waited for a delivery that never came. Not sure why room service wants a tip with a tacky card in the room upon arrival but then never serviced the room while we were there. At least our building had an elevator
