One Night at the Queensbury Hotel

The renovated property and rooms are very nice. Perfect downtown location. Two restaurants onsite, pool, nice staff. The pricing is more reasonable than the hotels by Exit 18. Nitpicks: The bathroom needs more shelf space. They need 3-prong and USB outlets on the desk and night stands. This is a wonderful place that you should definitely choose!

Loved our stay at this hotel, not too far from the lake and the hotel itself is very nice, historical feel but not old & broken down. Pictures do not do this hotel justice, staff very nice & loved the vibe here. Great for families & friends, lots to do nearby

Nice but watch the bed and toilet!

The hotel looks classic and very nice. Plenty of parking. We did not eat at the hotel. Be aware that the toilets are very low to the ground and your hand may touch the water within the bowl.. Watch your shins on the corners of the bed as you may scrap them. Hotel was very quiet.

Great location and well maintained property..my only suggestion would be replace the toilets. They are too low. Otherwise a favorite spot for a vacation destination..within walking to shops and great restaurants. Close proximity to lake George and horse track. Just 90 minutes to lake placid

A mixture- mostly really good!

Those of us older than 60 often wish for service without the slightly noticeable attitude of the younger generation that does occur at times. Not always. We had a mix here and overall a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. The bartender went out of his way to make my drink (had to substitute one ingredient), and came over to check to see if I was happy- I was!

Be very careful — the bathtub is extremely slippery. One fall and you could seriously hurt yourself. Honestly, it’s a serious safety hazard that should be addressed immediately. Also, be aware of the experience at Park 26 restaurant downstairs. The service was incredibly disappointing. We waited over 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging us — no menus, no greeting, not even a simple, “We’ll be right with you.” Meanwhile, multiple staff members were busy cleaning tables and deliberately avoiding eye contact, as if we weren’t even there. It wasn’t just bad service — it felt like no one cared. Someone had just woken up and come down looking forward to breakfast after reading good reviews, only to be completely ignored. There were at least three waiters and one waitress just standing around. Not one of them thought to say, “Can I get you a coffee while you wait for your server?” We ended up driving half an hour to find another place. It was frustrating, unprofessional, and completely avoidable with just basic training and hospitality. This place seriously needs to invest in training their staff — because right now, it feels like no one knows what they’re doing.
