The overall room stay was great. The room was clean and completely updated. Very quiet hotel.
However when I left I stopped at the desk to discussed my bill and end up getting the cops called on me because the owner didn’t want to explain why I was charged twice for incidentals. When I booked through a third party, it stated that I had to paid $100 deposit and I did so with no problem and I had to pay the remainder upon arrival. Once again, no problem. When I arrived, I was charged the full amount of room plus an additional $100. I didn’t ask questions at the time because I wanted to see what will happen at checkout. Come checkout day, I go to the desk and ask about my bill. The young lady didn’t understand why I was charge twice and called the owner. The owner tells me that they only charged once. I displayed my receipt to him and went over the breakdown all while he was trying to stop me from talking. He then went back over the printed receipt from the hotel and told me I was wrong and wasn’t understanding what he was telling me. I completely understood HOWEVER he refused to even listen to what I was saying. He then became angry and stated that he was calling the police and I allowed because he refused to explain why I was charged twice. It the police over fifteen minutes to arrive and I didn’t have time to keep waiting because I had a schedule to keep. I informed the owner that I will be calling corporate to report him and his business practices.
