Everything about this hotel was great! The accommodating staff, the relaxing and convenient location, cleanliness and zen atmosphere. Must be prepared for climbing stairs, mostly upon choice of room. We traveled with family and would 100% stay again.

This was the best hotel stay in my whole life! To start the property I believe is a refurbished historic ryokan so it definitely has the charm of a traditional stay while being luxury appointed ! I cannot speak better about staff here they were so helpful they went out of there way to make sure we had everything , greet us, open doors, offer us umbrellas on rainy days! We did also pay for breakfast and that was truly such a cool experience, taxi was waiting for us in the morning to bring us to the garden ! I will definitely be coming back here ! Thank you kindly to the staff. Also the location was perfect, calmer but still close to absolutely everything including busy shopping and Gion district!
