The room was clean, the staff were excellent, the amenities were good as well. You get what you paid for the rooms are a bit gloomy and the tv is a bit too old to use anything with unless you bring your own multi media box. Location wise and price wise I think it’s good. Convenient convenience stores and easy access to all parts of the city that you might want to visit.

Room was a little on the smaller side. However main subway station was only 3 minute walk away. Direct subway and bus to many of the main attractions. As a traveler I prefer convenience first. Kyoto is smaller and does not have the complex subway system to places like Tokyo and Osaka. Having these nearby was a life saver.

Overall, a great value at this location! My room was spacious, on a high floor, with many nice amenities included. Bottom floor has a very convenient cafeteria space. I do wish they cleaned the heater unit or bathroom fan as it was blowing dust around. The other issue was that either soundproofing was not good or some guests were very inconsiderate. I could hear conversations in the hallway that were sometimes yelled across at 3am. I could also hear the upstairs guest slamming their bathroom door. But all of the staff, front desk and cleaning were top-notch which is why I’m giving them 5 stars. Thank you!
