Very comfortable hotel and the staff was great. They took care of our luggage transfer and where always very kind with our requests and questions. This hotel had the best breakfasts buffet. There's a lot of variety and some items change per day. They also have a daily happy hour in which you can enjoy drinks for free (for one hour). It's close to Kyoto station (17 minutes walking, 7 minutes by bus) and it has two bus stops nearby. Very big bathroom with comfortable bathtub.

The room window is a window that faces the next building theres no sunlight coming in. Breakfast seats taken by giant tour groups, if you come past halfway most of the proteins are gone. I like the bar and refreshments, thats a unique differentiator you wont find at other hotels

Located near Kyoto station but a bit off the path so it's quiet but still located conveniently to transportation, food and other activities. It was clean and had all the normal amenities one would expect. Staff was helpful and was able to help me in English. Happy hour was a nice touch too!

Walking distance to Kyoto Station and there's a bus stop that goes to Kyoto Train station. They offer one hour alcoholic drinks at the first floor and free tea/soft drinks from 9 am to 12 pm to guests only. There's a coin laundry machine available.

This is the best hotel that I experienced in Japan. Very nicely maintained. The staff are very professional and friendly. There is a beautiful garden outside of the property. The breakfast buffet is also very good. Enjoyed our stay.

An older hotel, allows dogs so if you are sensitive/allergic just a heads up. Amazing, kind, and hospitable staff. They are always available if you have any concerns. They offer luggage delivery services via Yamato Transport. Rooms were spacious, considering the average Japanese hotel room sizes. Plenty of bathroom amenities. All you can drink for 1hr per day per room. No bars, but they have a good selection! Breakfast buffet is a simple menu but decent variety. The building next door has a very strong odor so every time you step out of the hotel you will notice it, but it’s not too bad. The lobby is a nice hangout spot after a long day. Location: in the middle of everything. If you don’t mind walking, it’s a convenient location! It’s about a 20-25min walk to Kyoto Porta (shopping and transportation), a small but beautiful garden (Shōseien Garden) right next door, local small coffee shop right behind (Cité Coffee). Kiyomizu-dera is ~30min walk. Plenty of restaurants/eateries. Popular ramen place is Honke Daiichi Asahi Honten, 9min walk.
